Here are a few short videos from this past weekend with a phone camera. 121 mph was the best pass I saw. Has a lot more in it. Had some issues motors to low, bent skeg, props rough, all things we can work out.

VERY interesting thread. WOW, great work Todd. Thanks for sharing all this info with us and taking the time to answer a lot of our questions here. If I come sweep the floor in your shop you think I could work off a new one

After reading this I hope I did not confuse anyone. This is a used Talon that came out of Canada. This is not a new one we built.
We have boat #6 almost ready to go. We kept boat #2 to do some testing with a 300XS and we do lots of pattern fitting to it. We can build about 1 a month and now all boats after #6 will be 100% wood free. We are using only foam core and Coosa everywhere. The lightest one with an interior came out at 900 lbs. I know we can built a lot lighter, but I feel better building them in the 1100 range for pleasure use. They are very solid and should have many years without issues.
Here is boat #6 with the foam core and ready for the last layers of glass. We have not started the deck yet, because we just got in a new wet out system that we are excited to try. No more bucket mixing and rollers. Now it is just wet out and bubble busting.
We started using a high end gel coat system and with time greatly reduced and the rise in quality, this is why we decided to go for the wet out system.

One of our future project is to split a 21' Skater in half and widen it 12" in the tunnel. Install a molded in windshield and create a dash that can allow for port or starboard side drivers. I also plan to have a center pod option for it so it will not beat up the single engine combinations and eliminate the porpoise.

We have eliminated some of the deck flex issues with some of the older Talons we have heard about and also fixed the tabbing up front issues. Dale Rayzor should appreciate this. The boats are tabbed all the way to the front of the sponsons now. Not easy to do and we had to redesign the floor pan to do it.
Deck with 4 stiffeners.
This is right in front of the dash (port side) bulkhead deck and hull joint
This is a shot of the tape joint going forward up to the front of the sponson. In this picture there was still 3' of taping left to do, but it does go 100% around the whole boat now. Here's to you Rayzor!!

Dale Rayzor should appreciate this. ..... "thats funny right there"
I bought and repaired Dales old Talon. This is a shot of the tape joint going forward up to the front of the sponson. ...... That's exactly what it looks like now.
Todd, all your work looks "Great"

your absolutly right most people wouldnt know, but wouldnt it be nice if the company kept pictures of the build and supplied them to the customer that bought the boat? I have every part of the build and rigging process for the Tuff, its pretty cool to have them, its the history of the boat,
