    Thanks guys!

The Ghost is actually 21 and change from bow to transom. The swim platforms are not designed as a running surface as some (non-racers) have suggested. They're from the original Glastron design and were incorporated in part to add buoyancy for the big block jet drives and I/O's they came with. I've owned a 22 Velocity and the Ghost is actually smaller and also smaller than a 22 Progression I believe. The special exception is not the case since it meets the size limit as per OPA measurement specifications. Several of the class 7 racers and the class rep. were very excited when I met with them prior to joining and racing. It is a piece of long Island racing history and true racers appreciate it

    Thanks Bird, I think.

Its a great running lil 21, and if I ever go for a swim again like last year in AC, I can climb back in easier. The 22 Velocity we had had more running surface and had nice straight line rough water characteristics, but all around I feel the Ghost is a better performer. You had that 22 Apache running hard in Mass, shame about the gearcase. Its built like a tank and with the extra length and weight pushed with that 300 Etec should really shine in Ocean City

I wish I bought the 300..... For some reason so many people complained the 300's were outlawed, but written rules never changed lol.
