That is a neat motor and it is cool that yall are working on something new! But as far as the vid. goes just because you have a allison with a 2.5 and a "drag prop" doesnt make it a drag boat. But if I was going to build a "OMC" it would look like this. I think the reed plate started as a E-TEC on this one! "OUTSIDE THE BOX"

Flow max your talkin pretty big there guy, just remember the rules at the island are fudged a bit for the E tec,and were you not at 3 lakes last year when the top 3 boats were merc, and 2 of them were full interior ski boats against a modded 3.4 on a mirage center steer race boat? And those were speed runs, not side by side racin,3 lakes is cummin soon, maybe you can change my mind on how fast your production made E tec will run,I know for fact that a stock emission merc out ran your e tec with Glen Reynolds at the helm in a non fudged race? And i heard at blarneys that e tec aint got nothin for the drags? And dont forget its a 3.4 litre runnin against a 2.5 witk 15 yrae tecnolagy...But it is nice to see somthing new from Bombardia.....

Lets get something straight here. Ski boat my ass. A light allison XR with a Merc Drag, with an extra 5 lb. seat added, beating a stock ETEC lake racer boat is hardly something to brag about. Three Lakes is a charity event and all the real men give their winnings back anyways. If you want to run your antique 2.5s forever, the go ahead. I don't want to start a pissing match here because I respect alot of you guys. I just think its time for a little respect and recognition for what has been accomplished here thats all. Tons of respect given to Glen Reynolds for moving forward. For those of you that want to see the next generation, stay tuned.

I would compare the etec to the merc 3.2L stroker 300xs. Close in weight and rated horse power with the 250HO. You whine about etec having damn near a full liter more then your 2.5. Why don't you merc fans bolt one of them hoss dogs on a light race setup and see what you got.

Etec wearing out a 260 on a closely matched setup speaks words my friend. No matter what box that 260 has, he should be turning in the 8's if not the 9's. More rated horsepower and way more RPM's should spell victory, but it doesn't.

Sounds like the car guys argueing. My ricer with a fart muffler (2.5) only lost to your big block camaro (etec) becasue because your motor is bigger. Like it or not the small bore high reving motors are gone whether the motor is black or white. All we can do is adapt and move forward with what the factories are building. Don't hate the player, hate Mercury.

Amen to that! Another thing is that these big block motors sip fuel compared to my damn 2.5 gas guzzler... Bigger motors, less fuel. Sounds smart to me...... Im jealous.....and saving up some dough for one......

I could probably get interested in them if they had a better looking cowling. I'd love to see Bombardier build a real race model with a good looking mid and cowl.
NICER COWLING!?!? i wish they would make a light weight of that one i love that look...
