Facts about Evinrude/Johnson racing outboards made my OMC

Como, Italy 1981,
The plan was the introduce the new Evinrude/Johnson F1-V8 for this race, but all engines was not ready in time so OMC digged up a bunch of OZ class V6 engines.

Renato won the F1-OZ class race in Como 1981 in his #165/Molinari/Evinrude V6 CCC 3 liter looper, fuel injection.

Well Jackie Wilson..Here is something good for you when its coming to Evinrude winning..

I was invited the the P1 SuperStock race in Jacksonville last year and run in to your family. If I understand it right Team Geico/Wilson won the P1 SuperStock title 2016.
2017 the series in the US switch to Mercury and the Wilson's did not win the title.
So I guess Evinrude is better for the Wilson family..

PS..Frank & Al's Pizza is good friends of mine living in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Picko Troberg was a famous race car driver in Sweden. He also raced boats.
This is his #113 Smuggler with Johnson GT-115 power.
Pretty sure its from 1967

Lassie, don't matter whether it's a "Rude" a Merc, or a meat grinder------Craig will drive the nuts off it.
You nearly got it right----- All and Franks Pizza finished with 299 points--------Craig and Forest also finished on 299 points
Craig won 8 races in the series--------Frank and Al won 2 races.
Winner was decided on who had done most miles in the series, Very odd don't you think ?
Craig accepted the decision and has no axe to grind with Al and Frank and is still friends with them, it's this cranky old bastard that questions the findings-------nothing wrong with telling it the way it is.
Was you that called it the "Facts"thread Lassie------be nice if you reported ALL the facts !
Yes, I am still passionate about boat racing-------I lived and breathed it for over 50 years and still do.

I don't really care because it's hard to find anymore boring than watch a P1 SuperStock race.

PS. The fact is still Team Geico won the title 2016 with Evinrude and not 2017 with Merc..

As you so rightly say Lassie they have their own rules,
Daft as it seems Craig is the APBA P1 high points Champion for both 2016/17----
Its easy to find a more boring race than the P1's---------simply look at any V8 F1 race-----just a noisy procession, ??
