Here in a England we have a womens football tournament going on. . England have reached the final to be played this Sunday at Wembley stadium .
They have been given the nickname „“THE LIONESS‘S“ .
Now the dickheads want them to be called the „“LIONS“. ???????????
Now , whilst some of them maybe dykes or lesbian —- i guarantee that not any of them have got what a lion has ——-and thats A DICK.
Lucy was also a big hit over here along with Jack Benny ——Perry Como——LIBERACE !!!!!!! Abbot and Costello——We got ‚em all.

My own thoughts were that we were getting lost and interest was waning in the OFF event over the last few years at Tavares .
From a long conversation i had with her today we have not yet managed to find a place to run the likes of Ted‘s Redbird and Jim Hunts Twin tunnel —- Roger HINSDALE‘s and all the others that are regulars at OFF meetings . But we are working on it.
plenty of room at both Marks place and Caddilacs for Rich and Odell‘s RV‘s and anyone else’s of the OFF brigade .
There will be a full itinerary of events and happenings over the two days . No time to get bored .
SEEBOLD got hisself a new 25 foot PONTOON —-will see if i can get him to park it on the inter coastal at Caddy‘s place —-stock it with beer and maybe take a trip to the sandbar and Tiki cabins with a few of the tale telling old timers .
All you have to do is keep in touch with Kate Wilson in Palm City— she knows everything.

Thats what we are trying to re-create—the atmosphere and comeraderie of the first couple of years of OFF [OLD FRIENDS FOREVER —THAT EVOLVED INTO THE OLD FARTS SOMEHOW].
Trying to get all those people together again that were there for the first event [that is those that haven’t copped their clogs].
Then there’s folk like Richie Powers who still don’t think they are old enough to qualify!!!!!
We lost STICKLE this year—another of the dying breed of racer.
So this year we are going to have us a good old fashioned shindig .
To celebrate those of us still left who loved all things good about „“powerboats“.

I know the feckin Kodak does not TAKE upside down or sideways pictures, so its got to be a SCREAM AND FLY thing.
When Timmy and Billy came over for the Bristol Reunion i got to spend a couple of days with them , so we took a trip to GOODWOOD where they were preparing for the FESTIVAL OF SPEED .
One of the highlights of the show is always the iconic sculpture in front of the main house which usually has very exotic cars hanging from the sky.
Other piccie is on the start line of the famous Hillclimb run.

\Really have been working my nuts off this last week .Started off with a 30lb slab of 30 mm thick aluminium . Managed to fernagle two monohulls and a tunnel out of the one piece Working with solid is expensive . A hard slog. Time consuming and hard on machinery. Then there’s the small matter of 25 x 6“ abrasive discs .
Should have some sort of result by the end of next week.
Somewhere along the way, about six months ago, i lost one of the stubby exhausts from Gene‘s MALIBUSTANG— so i took time out to fabricate another one . Now its firing on all cylinders again.
DOING THAT DAMN SILLY THING I ALWAYS DO ———-MULTIPLE CONCEPTS -all at once .

Actual MALIBUSTANG looks a hell of a lot better than the pictures suggest. Was one of the first concepts i ever made out of two inch square solid aluminium.
Stuff looks good in the end but its a messy and unkind material—with very little „“feeling“ until near the end when it kinda COMES TO LIFE.
Last monohull there I’m attempting something along the line of ROGER HOOKS —LUCAS OIL. Thats one of those instantly recognised water craft like 113 MISS GEICO. And BLUEBIRD. Get the basic shape right and we have us a concept.
Been another one of those head down—arse up days !!!! Worked my cobs off with very little to show for it.
Have my lovely Dutch friends -Tini and Leo coming for a couple of days so there will not be much progress until the weekend . Still, time i let my hair down for a day or two.

Long ago and far away, before PONTIOUS was a Pilate
i used to fabricate sculptures similar to this .
First one was Birth of a nation - SECOND —- CREATION. Third was a trophy for a great friend who after 84 years shot a hole in one . I called it hole in one hoover. Fourth is just some long forgotten nonsense Thats upstairs in the loft .
All I’m doing really is simply pointing out i CAN do lots more besides CARS-PLANES -BOATS AND TRAINS.
Finally finished the first of the all metal tunnel boats for MILES JENNINGS . Was going to give it a matt finish, but it would always look crappy . So its highly polished and now totally acceptable . HAD A FULL SEVEN HOURS in the shop today . Thats how come i could finish the first effort.
Will post a bunch of stuff at close of play thursday. Totally knackered tonight, been a long day.

Was a great moment in sporting history when England beat Germany in the final.
First time in 56 years we have actually won a football world cup. They did it in style too, seeing as how Germany had won the trophy for eight out of the last ten times the World Cup was held .

My family out on the town last night before they get down to the serious business of racing the HUSKI boats in Michigan this weekend.
But by Monday they will all be back in Stuart hard at work creating all sorts of wonderment and magic..
My grand daughter Kate is organising a couple of days fun for all the old farts before the HUSKI Team heads down to KEY WEST for the final offshore event of the year in early November.
Weird to think i am actually the PATRON of all this great crowd from the offshore racing fraternity, first time i ever looked at like that. They’re just all my kids who i love dearly [in spite of everything]

Told you it was nice —-rides as good as it looks , but its a a tad too much like a racer —may have to swop it for a more sedate ride . Something like a biggish BEEMER . Early days yet . Good to feel like a kid again and its a bloody long time since i donned a lid.
