Medal table at Rio is beginning to look interesting-------Russia is suffering because of the drugs ban that wasn't -------China puts billions into sport but can only manage second-----Britain left the EU and is a no hoper ( according to some sceptics) but somehow moves into third--------industrial giants like Japan and South Korea manage fourth and fifth.
Olympics are always full of surprises.

Don't remember for sure but it was one of the early ones. Pat Eves from OMC found it in the middle Keys on a rack where it had sat for 13 years. This was around 2000-2001. He wanted to fix it up, but then OMC went under. I bought it from him. It had hit something and was repaired badly near the bow, but not big damage. I stripped it, Had a body/jet ski repair guy that had worked for me for about 15 years at the time, and still does, fix it. We tore out the old floor and some stringers and replaced them, and put in some transom braces. Traded the refinish and paint work with a friend and fixed his bent valves on a 360 Ferrari Modena. Motor was the best V8 I had left over. Steering by Marine Machine, foot throttle, Stainless Marine Jack Plate w/indicator, pop up cleats, new tank, Gaffrig Gauges, and interior by Fine Lines naturally. My only short coming was not putting K=Planes on it. I did all the rigging and built the motor. My grandaughter loved it. First words out of her on her first ride were "fasta pop".Quote:

Been beaver busy busy all day on the blown hemi------just a progress piccy ----actually not much to show for it.
Hows about that for a one day medal haul in Rio from a nation that's supposed to be down and out with not a snowballs chance in hell of even surviving leaving the EU-----up your arse-----we're still a country to be reckoned with--------six bloody golds, two silvers and a few bronzes thrown in for good measure!

No, say it's not so...not a rice burner on a Raveau. There are certain things in life that you just do not do and that one is on the top of the list. Nothing looks better on a Raveau than a period correct Merc 800. Just ask Butch...:thumbsup:Quote:
