i owe you a large one Bob, will be in Tavares next year if you want to collect.
My first impression was spot on-------it looks more like a Seebold than a Seebold, if you stick your thumb over the motor------you would bet the farm on it !
I always seem to do two of these at once, so I have to find a half tidy chunk of very old hardwood for the first attempt----something that will polish up to perfection------whoever winds up with it can paint it if they want to !
It just itches to be done in polished alloy------I got a rake of the stuff under the bench, I must be able to cobble together a " SIDEBOLD" or a "SEEWINDER"?
They Could be two different boats until you look closely -----two different cameras maybe!
Bob, you just made my day, I could not find sweet FA about the Parker win in 85!
Does anyone remember where it came up for discussion a few years back----suddenly there were three of them and nothing was quite like it appeared------I still think the original is a valuable boat, but I have a feeling it got destroyed !! Help needed on this one!
Where the hell is Willabee when he's wanted?????
Jackie....If you E-Bay......HIRO 1/20th DFV ENGINE HEAD/CAM COVER SET.. is that any use to you??
Its in AUS but the price looks reasonable considering.....
Looks good to me so I bought one-----just to evaluate ?
Went to Bognor last week to visit Squires Art and Crafts shop Phill--------on your recommendation of course, complete bloody waste of time that was-----unless your into needlepoint, knitting or gluing glitzy bits, which I am not!
Still one out of two ain't that bad is it?
Backs eased a little this morning----couldn't even sit comfortable last night so came to bed and stayed here for 12hours, three days without opening the shop doors, even MURPHYS beginning to wonder what's going on.
Roll on January and the Carribean cruise, don't normally wish my life away but these have been trying times lately and Christmas is going to be a still more trying time. 'Twill be nice to get away for a while and explore pastures new, finish this chapter and close the page.
May take a wander into the shop and see if I can put a couple of my last efforts to bed, even the summer house is getting full up------more boats and stuff in there than there is in MYSTIC !
Not many more to go before I can open the place up as a museum and charge folk for looking, put in a coffee shop with donuts and candy floss------a pissoir in the corner and some "kiss me quick " hats.
Time I was up and outa here-----I'm getting moody and broody and rambling.

Don't know if you will be able to see this, piccies of a 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost sold by Sotherbys at the Goodwood Festival of speed earlier this year for close to £5,000,000,-------Hang in there Rich_____ even concept rollers could be worth a shilling or two in the future,
Jackie,,,sorry to hear about the "Squires" trip being a bit of a waste of time I did recall my ears burning some last week now I know why..
I have to ask..was the place open? Did you go inside? Did you get a catalogue? Did you look on their website?
I've dealt with them for 10yrs never seen glitzy stuff. I can only think all the fluffy stuff is in the front..all the "heavy duty action" is out the back,
y'know bit like Ann Summers!
You are welcome to my old catalogue if you wish. Gawd-elp -us.
There was no back Phill---------Just a wool shop and knitting needle front-----Not enough tools to fill a pint sized toolbox,-----no catalogues------couple of little old ladies who could have been my gran!
.................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... ............
There is no way I would have wasted my time or yours sending you to a wool shop, pretty dull places I recall....my mother had a couple at one time.
I think probably they have gone 100% online now they deffo have a website....in the meantime I will send you my old catalogue... its something interesting to read in the bath if nothing else..
No worries Phill-------as Satchmo used to say -----I got all the time in the WOILD ----I'm so laid back these days I'm in danger of falling over myself.
Tried a half hour sat on a chair in the shop pretending to look active----her from indoors barged in saying-----enough is enough------out ! That's long enough----- Somedays you eat bear!
Jackie- Here it is...the ultimate Christmas present...A Jaguar V12 coffee table. Wouldn't this look good in your living room?

Or perhaps a Cosworth "Lump."

Have seen the glass topped COSWORTH block on numerous occasions but never a Jaguar V12 block.
Have a one twentieth scale model DFV coming from OZ this week-----see what it's like before deciding anything!
Exciting times ahead, all I have to do is stay well and active!
You got any of these items Bob?
Well now, here's the thing Bob-------both the COSSIES are on almost identical trailers, both made out of alloy T section, only one has a jockey wheel, both have wire spoke wheels, both concepts have 4" tunnels so the trailers are interchangeable -------in other words effort one will fit effort two.
I still have a few cosmetics to finish off on each of them, ie; numbers and letters etc,.
It seems most buyers want me to scratch ( engrave ) my initials on the finished project, nothing major, just fiddle farting jobs that annoy the crap out of me these days-------why I dont just finish one job before I start another, I'll never know!
Slept a lot easier last night-------backache has lessened somewhat, so it's on the cards to play in the shop a while this morning------need to finish both boats and the MALIBUSTANG before I attempt the Mitch Lembske concept------could someone out there put me right on how Mitch and Jerry's surname is spelt------I have seen half a dozen variations of this, would be nice to get it right once and for all.
Wish I could remember where I first heard of the V 12 Sidewinder, I know one was up for sale which claimed to be the original, then there was one damaged in a road accident, yet another was built just before they died--------somebody out there in the old farts must have a story of what happened.
I would be happy to hear from anyone who could clarify the situation.
Problem with growing older-----if two and two don't make three then it must be something else !
Lets see what today's 84,000 secs uncovers.
