that relates to a dollar a day
We got the one hour of sunshine this morning and two in the afternoon , finished the pickle but never did find the missing filler cap, 'twas easier to spin a fresh one on the lathe, made four more for the walnut wing. While I was at it thought I might as well do the six pipes and tie bar, polished the props, made the cockpit cover, so there's been a distinct improvement.
did a bit longer stint in the shop today, Steve, my next door neighbour came round to see if he could hitch a ride to the car boot sale tomorrow. A bit of company would make a nice change, never bothers me wandering around on my own, haggling with vendors for something I don't really need anyway.
Taking the fast cat from Portsmouth to Le Havre , crack-o-sparrow on Sunday Morning, meeting a couple of Dutch friends for lunch in Honfleur then on to Deauville and Trouville for a couple of days wining and dining and stocking up with a few cases of wine for the summer. Yeah, I already know ,-----LIFES A BITCH-------just make the most of it while you can!
talk some more in the morning---rest easy and MYGGWY.J.
Going for a ride in an Ozzie tunnel hull?

No such thing! They only ever had imports! Unless you know something I don't Pilgrim.
[QUOTE=jackiewilson;2764262] We had several designers builders, in OZ as it happens.
Here's one in a fleet Fulla Fun ( you can just see it) designed and built by David Fuller, he won lots of stuff
We even exported them and on Sunday you will be in one, Incat by any chance?

Aliens in my shop , can't believe I got tangled up in making so many damn "Alien" motors, mind you one of them is ROTORY Johns so that narrows it down to still far too many!
Theres just one of those big old monsters, needs a better paint job, but apart from that it came out quite well!
I stand corrected Pilgrim, never saw one anywhere, never even heard of one, who did he copy?
Everyone copied everyone else, Velden, Cougar, Seebold, Hodges, Burgess, Scotti, Molinari, they will all hotly deny it ------but it's the truth! Or did you think---- It just "Happened".

Just a few of Jilly's amazing rose collection , really coming up to their best right now, last thing at night to walk round the garden and take in the scent is a heady experience .think I must be one of the luckiest guys in the world!
Who did Ken Warby copy? Don't have to look any further than than Lee Taylor, 'except Kenneth brought home the bacon. Can't see anyone going down that road any time soon!!
UIM rules and regs have made any further record attempt virtually impossible, Ken would not even be allowed off the TRAILOR today!

Bought a a tool box full of sailboat fittings, about fifty double stainless pulleys, a dozen Man sized single pulleys, tie bars, cleats, stuff I never even seen before, had to be worth the $100 I gave the man, the stainless shackles alone would cost that. If the worst comes to the worst, I could always make a quarter scale classic sail boat, ie, a four masted schooner with all the singing and dancing fancy rigging that would entail, just time and an idea, I got enough rigging if I never buy another cleat.
Never done a true concept sail-boat, maybe I should give it a try?
Picked up four spokeshaves( wooden of course) and some old carving tools at the boot sale.

Finally hit the jackpot, over a hundred pulleys and blocks, all in stainless, couple of rigging screws at $50 Apiece! I made a killing at last. Downside is , I may have to do an old "Americas Cup" sailboat-----What the hell have I got to lose? Here goes nothing!!
Wonder if they'll still allow me to ramble on S@F?
what brand are they?
Attachment 321822 I know it's a USA outfit " harmet" or something like that, it looks half decent I have to say'
Sorry Pilgrim , it's "HARKEN"
