PILGRIM----------I am not due for " retirement " any time in the near future, never did take to this ---"secret " Sh-t anyway. ,
Me thinks we've just been told..
Jackie, if you check the nutrition facts on that prescription of yours, you might find the ratio between snot and wallpaper paste is a bit one-sided - zero % sugar, 99 % cantankerous. :D
I rest my case. Your diet was changed... Let me slightly alter what I stated before. Life & life's "health" is 100% related to diet. Not talking about one's career choices or lifestyle/persona, etc. This next mention should leave you thinking... Ready? "We all die of malnutrition". Ponder that. Example: A middleaged or elderly person trips/falls & breaks a hip. Maybe they die, maybe they don't. Why did that persons hip break so easily?
Now you're back peddling Fuji and trying to blind me with unsupported scientific evidence !
I Pondered and concluded, we do not "ALL DIE OF MALNUTRITION"-----that's a bloody silly and daft statement, example: man falls into the sea and drowns. Car crash, heart attack, bullet or knife through vital organ, beheaded, poisoned, fall of a cliff will do it to you every time.
A lot of folk die of HEARTBREAK, believe it or not, so, outside of Africa ( and the like) not a lot of people die of malnutrition.
None of the above died of "Malnutrition".
Should an old git trip / fall and break a hip, they're probably on their last legs anyway, so not many folk give a flying fart whether they live or die------
All old bones get brittle and break easily, now THATS a scientific fact.
SIMPLES. I REST MY CASE !
Fujimo be careful. Jackie will argue if you tell him the grass is green.
Thank-you. I realize this now. I forgot the age bracket mentality, to whom I was attempting communication. The best clue that reminded me of this, in the last post: "Don't give a flying fart whether they live or die". As Spock would say..."Illogical". (Get it? "Ill"-Logical")...oh, never mind...:nonod:
So Fuji, you threw in the towel ! Hid behind the " Age Bracket Mentality " statement-------don't suppose you would like to elucidate on that ridiculous and meaningless description".
If you got the balls to come to Tavares this November and have a friendly but lively discussion on any topic you care to mention, boats, engines, drivers, events politics, -Fools, -----you choose. Only then will you be qualified to decide whether or not I have an " Age Bracket Mentality".
Oh yes Fuji-------lest I forget, I still maintain that any old person who Falls/Breaks a hip, PROBABLY does not give a flying fart one way or another whether they live or die------and as for bringing Spock into it---------he was a Feckin Alien, completely devoid of feelings, or had you forgotten that? ( Oh well ---never mind)
You think I'M cranky Fuji, wait until you come up against WILLABEE , compared to him, I'm a pussy cat -------he is serious "Curmudgeon".
Hold on there Tiger ..... we all know there is only one "King of the Curmudgeon's" and his royal arse resides in England!.
I do consider it a compliment that you think I might rank near the top, but you claimed the top spot a long time ago. "Numero Uno" belongs to you and no one, no matter how hard they try, will ever be able to pull the title from your cranky little grasp.
Stay the course my friend, you're doin' good!
Enough of all this, just need to tell you I had a good day at the office yesterday-------if I can find one of my old cameras, (the posh one is at the mend), sorting out the "memory card" problem, I will post a couple of piccies.
Rent day came and went without me even noticing.
Here we are and it's the weekend already, don't even ask if I'm going to the recycling facility-----that's a done deal and one of my favourite pastimes, guess I'm a bit like a kid in a sweet shop.
Last day of the football season and the hooligans that go with it, time for the cricket season and a little tranquility.
spring finally came in with a bang, today we have temperatures in the high seventies------this time last week, we had frost and sleet.
Talk more over the course of the weekend, have a good one !

Sorry 'bout the piccie folks and its arse upwards to boot--------as my granddaughter Casey says-------you're crap with a camera grandad.
Carved the craft out of solid inch thick alloy, made an oversize Blown Hemi-----blasted pipes took me a day to do---------Visited Carrera a few years back, the base is a chunk of marble I cut and polished from there.
Still have to find an inner tube I can cut the drive belt out of--------like Christmas------it's coming.
Now my neck is stuck 90* to the left. Looking good Jackie. Glad you had a nice trip.
Jackie....When you are finished with that one and there is nothing pressing, here is one for you ponder. Why have one engine when two will do? Double your pleasure...double your fun...:eek: PS - You are going to need a bigger inner tube...

Awesome Dave--------one day maybe, looking at the "REDBIRD" next.
Working on the mount at the minute----------it's really looking good,
" WING ON WING "
I tell you, this kids like Jonathan Joe, with a mouth like an O and a wheelbarrow full of surprises!!!!!
Seriously Dave, I don't have many more "Concepts" left in me, so they have to go to "Deserving cases",---never learned how to do any carving or sculpture until I was damn near 75. Now I enjoy it so much, I rush out to the shop each morning and beaver away until something tangible appears in my mind and I try and make it.
A month ago I was offered a big bag of gold to do another 1906 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost like the one I did for Rich, I pondered a while and was almost convinced, but decided "Been there, Done that" again, maybe one day, as old Fuji says it's an age related mentality thing.
Jackie, Not sure where I've been - oh yah, remodeling the bathroom for the one who is always obeyed -
Has someone spoken for this concept???? I think me needs that. I may never sell Miss Windy, but it definitely fits that concept - all motor. Let me know a number please...

. Roger, you know me, don't do numbers, we shoot the breeze, chew the fat 'bout this an that and somehow we agree something or other.
If you got a FaceTime address I can show you the lump in all its glory, it's a hell of a lot better piece of kit than the picture shows, tried doing one of the old four spoke wheels in aluminium, not quite there,
If you want a tilt trailer, it's extra,
You know I usually do two or three before I ever get near to getting it right, well this time, I've only done the one, it ain't exactly what I set out to do, but it's close.
Haven't come across a car or truck inner tube yet to do the timing belt, so I started on the "Wing" concept mount for the "REDBIRD", Jesus wept, have I ever got my knickers in a twist with that one.
Was up at GEICO workshops and grandson Craig gave me a couple of chunks of a carbon aero foil------------first off, I knackered my new USA, metal blade, then because of the angle of dangle and four hours of hard graft, left the workshop damn near in tears having achieved nothing but sore fingers.
Little things, set to try us, Sei-la-VEI .
My FaceTime is [email protected].
Cracked it---------late on Sunday afternoon--------the light came on and a path appeared, so I went down that road for a while-----success! Finished the wing mount, all I have to do now is construct the "Bird".
Stuck a red Molinari, number 7 on the wing mount as a tryout, I did it for Seebold a long time ago, but never got round to giving it to him, been on the shelf for a couple of years--------looks ok, can do it edge ways or flat.
Have to sort this camera problem out, it's driving me nuts !
We had five days of brilliant weather, sunshine all day with high temperature and no wind, suppose that's our summer--------been and gone, back to normal today, pissing down !!!
Off round to the local garage this morning, see if I can find an inner tube to cut a timing belt out of, then try and finish the steering wheel for "Windy"---------my skills in ETCHING leave a lot to be desired, but as my son pointed out----------if folk want a MODEL, THEY BUY A REVELL OR A DINKY/CORGI---------but if they just want a concept then they won't mind the crawly wiggly sign writing , you want me to have a bash at putting the name and numbers on her butt Roger ?
Give me a call on ---------0044-078-2626-7733. Or Skype or FaceTime ----I'm around most of the time, probably six hour time difference, but I'm deaf as a gatepost so you have to be patient.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, off to northern France a week tomorrow for five days to catch up on some crabs and lobsters and moulle mariniere. Life can be a stone bitch !
CONCALE actually Gene, wee bit of Gaelic history attached to it, had the biggest and tastiest crab ever last time I was here.
Got some good old piccies of the REDBIRD and its stand------WING ON WING-------if you don't want it I'm sure I can work it into Ted Boyd. I'll get it to Tavares one way or another. Trying to remember where I stashed the memory card downloader.

Second day day on the REDBIRD except it's a snowbird more later
Jackie---You may have to do 'duplicates' of your 'CONCEPTS'!!! (DO YOU HAVE YOUR 'ORDER' BOOK READY)?:)

Already have two full kits roughed out-------very rare I get the first one right------so I have "Standbys", and I had a funny feeling Ted might get a tad excited. See how I get on with the spray gun?--------I got a quart of red Hammerite and a gallon of thinners------just need a sunshiny day so I can do it outside and it dries instead of staying tacky for a week and gunking everything in the shop red.
Dont worry too much Gene, if it don't come up to muster, you don't get to have it-------I just try, try, and try again 'till it comes about right.
Being made of Douglas fir it comes out around one to 2 kilos with the motors, bit more if you want a trailer---------post is around $50, if you wait until Tavares and I haven't" popped my clogs"-------it's for free. Will make a few items for auction and use Stavros Sirois as front man, that covers all transport costs, and he loves to be the "Compère". Showman through and through and a genuine old fart--------one of us !
Wish I could have been there for the "REDBIRD" launch, family matters decreed otherwise-----if I'm ticking-------I'll be there.
Im just like an old Merc, keep it down to 5000 and we go on for ever !
Things "Clicked" in the shop today, cracked on withe second REDBIRD -------course it went along a lot more smoothly than the prototype and is going to be the better of the two, make sure you get number two Gene. Got four gear cases and four power heads, twelve pipes and four props-----props alone come out over. $100.
Price will come out around $350 apiece, worth every REDBIRD cent though. , second one is Douglas fir and centre section is Piranha Pine with a beautiful flower in it ( do a couple of pics later to illustrate my meaning), if you want 'em left plain tell me before next week.

Been chugging along like an express bullet train, got a red dusting coat on the pair, before I start filling to get some sort of finish---------amazing how difficult it is to get four identical sponsons-----back in the day, I wonder if the Switzerland boys had the same problem because I've never seen a pair of identical "Wings", each one has its own identity ! Closest I've seen are the 700 and the 7000, somebody else must surely have come across this---------Molinari's and Hodges were built on a jig, so unless some deliberate update was introduced, they remained pretty much the same?
This was no doubt a big problem for the likes of Bob Hammond at Glastron, updates and design change must have been a nightmare!
Must confess the D.A.C. Looks much the same as it did thirty years ago, but let's face it, it's still a bit like last man standing!
Will probably start on the motors tomorrow!
Jackie. What were you driving in 1966? I was fooling around on YouTube yesterday and I ran across a clip from a race in the UK. Mostly deep V-bottom boats and a few flat bottoms. All were Mercury powered. Looked like mostly 4cyl 50s and 6cyl 110s.
Wilson's World of Wizardry
A place where dreams are not made, they are custom crafted by the master. A place where you can bring back what you once had or wish you had, but in a smaller, more convenient size. From ET's, KT's, Hydro's, Wings and Molarini's to aircraft and more. If you had it, wanted it, or dreamed it, Wilson's World of Wizardry can make it happen for you!

Bob, I have to be honest-------I read through this post and thought "who the hell is that, ? I certainly never came across him, must be out of California "!
Most impressive sales pitch I ever read, then I did a double take and thought, I've got a 301S Startrite bandsaw just like that,-------hang on a minute, the bugger's making Mercury watch towers, hope he sells 'em better than I did.
was 5:45 am and I was just opening my eyes so I wasn't at my bushy tailed best-------took a while before the penny dropped, SOMEBODY out there likes my stuff!
Suddenly the worlds a much brighter place, Thank you Bobby V ( didn't he used to be on the radio?) very much Appreciated.
Opened a couple of "Private messages"----one from Mike Butler, asked if I was going to OFF this year as he was thinking of going, now how nice is that ? Of course I'm going to Tavares in November----and Key West and the OFF golf tournament------with the .most amazing prizes of all time including a "Faberge" bejewelled egg and a "genuine solid gold Conquistadors helmet" and tons more-------better get signed in before long.
Another "Private" from Ted Boyd-------he took the second REDWING--------I tell ya, things are on the up--------Roger's taking the hydro and Gene and Ted a wing apiece-------MEAT AND TATTIES ON THE TABLE THIS WEEK MOTHER !
Thank you, Jackie. You made my day..!! I can just imagine your gears spinning trying to figure out who is this impostor that is trying to infringe on your business and how did he get your band saw? Yes, I would say that your craftsmanship is appreciated by more people than you know. After all, only you can bring the dreams of past into the reality of the present...!!
Sounds like a "Back to the Future" Delorean may be in order for W.W.W. concepts LLC. I will keep my eyes out for a "flux capacitor" to power it up.

'Small world'----
http://i64.tinypic.com/2utgfig.jpg
I got six Twister power heads, four midsections, eighteen pipes and six cav. Plates------haven't even started on the gear cases yet and it's already five thirty----CC7 time.
Been wet and damp all day so I only managed one more coat of red paint------will be well into next week before any exciting biting.
1966 was a stellar year -------those were the days when we all helped each other to get in the water for the next heat---------if one of us had flipped, then ALL the other guys helped out and even delayed the start to make sure everybody ran. There were times I didn't have enough gas to finish the last heat, somebody would siphon enough out of their car to make sure I got there.
Was in the running for the championship at Tyne and Shaldon in Devon, my motor puked so Norman Fletcher said "Take mine"------ I finished second, but got some welcome points!
Seems those were the good years for a lot of old boaters.
Damn, but it's rent day AGAIN, time flies when your having fun !!
Reason I did six twisters is as follows, -------Gene and Ted are having the painted "REDBIRD", but I got this nagging itch do a stainless centre section with either hardwood or polished alloy sponsons, so it has to be metal motors.
Spent a record 8 1/2 hours in the shop yesterday------whatever happened to retirement?
Problem is, I got a head full of ideas, but I have to start on them immediately, before I forget what it was I remembered.
Take no notice------it's probably an "age related" thing as Fuji once told me, speaking of which, anyone noticed how quiet he's gone -------his sticky top spot has been silent for over a week now, He'd better watch out or he'll slip down the ratings and join me an "tricks"in the lower ranks.
Im particularly pleased that Willabee's back with us and at his cranky best, a lot of Mercury knowledge and experience in that old curmudgeon----------the Websters of power boating!
Can't lie here all day, got a car boot sale to go to and three wings to construct, and time waits for no man-------not even me and you ?
Took me forever to get round the boot sale, found a guy who had a gazillion stainless nuts and bolts, exhaust system, jump seats, jet engine turbine blades, ---------we got down to haggling---------to reach my price was a long process. Wound up with a truck load of aircraft bits which cost just a little bag of gold.
Now I have to live to be over 98 before I can break-even -------maybe a wheel fell off an I didn't notice.
