This is a race gathering in Europe. The boat pictured in Fuji's post has a battery disconnect on the dash. The club involved is 152 VO, google it -you will be amazed by the details in these very small electric models. I race RC boats competitively for a hobby, was easy to spot the details that stood out. These guys put on a complete replica of an old time ob race, complete diorama to compliment the racing. Very different than over here.

Robin , Im thinking your spot on , the disconnect is the dead giveaway for the Euro guys- and the attention to detail is 2nd to none.
The amount of time and effort they put into it is amazing.

Speaking as a retired Engineer who has stored hundreds of pontoons in his "other" career, I find it somewhat shocking that they set the pontoons directly down on the rack cross members. Point contact is not good for the logs.

As usual, you made me laugh. (I needed that today.) The marina I work for uses heavy duty thermoformed pontoon stands that are 18" square with a rounded upper surface that perfectly matches the bottom of the logs. You place one (on each side) right at the stern of the log where it's strongest and another on each side up front where the forward bulkhead is in the log. (Again, the strongest point.) This distributes the load and prevents deforming the bottom of the logs. Lord knows one doesn't want any hook in a log to scrub off speed!

Why all the laborious work and extra expenditures?
Is it because the 1500 engines were more available and reliable, then the older 800 engines?
And also did he desire, that old white cowling look to enhance his vintage rig?
I admire his dedication and final craftsmanship, but what a comment to undertake.

Yup Chaz, the barrel roll on throttle roll is different. I own a '99 K1200RS, once you're moving a couple mph it's not noticeable. I tore down a 2005 Mojo Guzzler a while back, the block still had a distributor pad cast in. Wonder how long those patterns been around....Disassembling totalled bikes of any & all kinds, it never ceases to surprise me the stuff the oem's hold on to. The new tech is always cool to see & learn from, too. The BEST part is no diagnosing, no pissy customers - just tear it down, toss it in a bin & walk away!!

Transom , don't let the wing plate fool your eye into thinking it's some type of base .. :nonod:
Front plate / tab sits on a rib . Mid plate ears bolt to the transom.
Also .. those collectors are too abrupt , we tried them on the Porsche headers 10 years ago ..
https://img.popularmechanics.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Axis-Drive-engine-1-hi-res.jpg
Same with that turbo collector / flange . With 1/2 of the tube residing outside of the exit and such a short transition , the charge will tend to hit the far wall , rather than find a clean exit .. Looks cute though … ;)

A derecho (/dəˈreɪtʃoʊ/, from Spanish: derecho [deˈɾetʃo], "straight" as in direction) is a widespread, long-lived, straight-line wind storm that is associated with a fast-moving group of severe thunderstorms known as a mesoscale convective system and potentially rivaling hurricanic and tornadic forces.

They look too sleek, but Chance Vought Crusaders? --- No, wrong plane. There was a delta wing Navy plane from late 50's early 60's sort of like this, but I recall more rounded and stubby.
Now I had to go search--plane I was thinking of was an F7 Cutlass, but that is not this.
Got it, sort of:
US - McDonnell Douglas “Model 60” Navy Fighter Delta Wing Alternative to the “Model 5” F3H Demon.
