has old style enrichner also.. whats date on starter?

also remember we fab up a bracket (believe it was 1"x3"x 1/8" alum. angle) that attached with tha two top screws of tha reed plate that we mounted tha solenoids side X side on...
Date on starter appears to be maybe 10-19-82? Paint's a little worn by now:

I don't mind the older charging gear. Or any of the older stuff for that matter since the 2.0 this is replacing is a 1987 and for the 25-30 hours per year we use it, it has been fine. What year did they change over to these newer, single piece heads?

Also, what is the quick and dirty way of replacing the old and busted negative shunt wire at the top of the starter?

And see the clear yellow potting on the switch boxes? Can we learn anything from that? Cheap Chineseium? Or possibly still OK if they are from ProMarine?

that date is consistent with cowls, clamp, tnt, can and etc... tha ground wire you can build yourself and/or any battery shop... if switch boxes work i'd run 'em till one goes south then replace both.. i stuck with oem 'lectrics with all my junk but jus my choice... china junk may start disappearin' from tha market place real soon anyway...........

this manual should do ya...... 90-976583

think '87/'88 for tha one piece?? not sure?........... way to many lost cells in this ole noggin'............

Thanks so much. I won’t bug you any more until I get this power head on my 1987 mid and up and running.
