Got some more time in the shop for motor #2.

This motor, like the other one was represented as turn key.

I guess other than the magnet out of the flywheel, windings melted out of the stator, the stator goo ran into and locked up the timing advance, it was water ready.

Luckily FrankenRude III was standing by and gave itself for the greater good.

Transom is ready for gel.
The exhaust cut outs were a PIA to fill!

All goes well, bracket will be mounted this wk.

Nice to see the progress.. platform looks great ..
So likely to see the water this summer
And get it weighted?

Just waiting for my mids to get those swapped..

Yep, seeing progress is a great motivater.

Wet this yr, yes.
Still a ton to do though.
Going to re-engineer cabin entry and dash and will be a huge issue.

But, mounting the bracket and hanging the motors will be huge and allow me to start laying out rigging.

Wont leave me alone on the weight will you ��
Found a Local scale and hope to get it there within a wk.

Think your making good headway then remember all the little things to be done.

Ugh!

Replaced the orig bow hatch w/a better Bomar unit.
Sounds easy.
Then you remember the front of old one came to a vee, andddddd, the deck/mold was built w/a profile on it, for the hatch to sit on.

And on the new tank I had the filler neck put on the front so you can get a full tank.
Orig was rear fill so w/bow up, you could only get 1/2 a tank in it. And w/fighting capacity already, I want every gallon.
New tank was easy.
Now I have to fill/patch the old filler location and notch the forward floor and stringer for the filler hose.

Ahhhhhhh, custom projects......

forgot to ask way back, will you be leaving those 250-225ho engines stock?
any changes at all, like cooling?

I have two stock 225’s to start with then plan is to build two 300 HP hot rod powerheads for it.
Still planning on building/installing a pad too.

A **** pile of work still to do.
Am building a new cabin entry and doors too.
