Ported Promax build
With all the political threads flooding this site and the.
"Rember when this use to be a boating site"
It kicked me into gear to post my Promax build.
1995 225 Promax on a Hydrostream Viking.
I'm starting this thread to get us back to posting on BUILD threads.
So please post anuthing that your thinking about what I'm building and how I'm doing it. The motor is 100^ done and running. But I will start at the beginning.
These are pics the day I drove to north cenIllinois to buy it.
Pretty much stock except for oil injection removed.
The mota fired up and sounded great on the hose.Last edited by roadkill636; 11-29-2020 at 08:53 PM.

I sold the cle and got a 25" sport master and had Chris cut it down to 20" and all new seals in the lower..
Ran it for a few months and herd the alarm go on.
Pulled the heads and saw #5 skuffed

Tore the motor apart and found a couple pieces of sand-rocks in the poppet valve and 3 of the 4 dump holes in the adapter plate were plugged with lil pebbles .

Look forward to watching your build.
Were going to run one in next year's Enduro.
Maybe not the fastest but tried and proven.

The exhaust port looked like it had been raised some. And a not so smooth of a job with this extra horn on it.

Block all taken apart. Had a pebble or two in the exhaust divider and one in the water jacket. Rod slots look like they been opened up.

Good luck, have fun, take your time, and enjoy the experience. It feels good when its all done and running. Knowing what's in there and that you did the work.
We only go through this circus once...so enjoy the rides!!!
