Looked like a fake punch to me. Not that I watch the Oscars. The only Oscar I give a damn about is in my fish tank.

This is buzzing all over the internet. I have seen better fight scenes in cheap B movies. Anyone thinks this was real needs a "Stupid" sign hanged around their neck!

Thought it was fake until I saw more. I think it was real.
The footage I saw looked like Smith was okay until he saw his wifes reaction. Then I think he thought, I better do something or when we get home it's gonna be, You ain't no man letting him talk about me like dat. So he got up and slapped Chris.

I think it was fake still... or at least a set up. If Will really slapped him, Chris was in on it. Where did all the noise come from? Chris was the only one that had a mic. And it was behind his back.

Someone approaches me aggressively like that I am backing up and getting in to defense mode. Not just standing there like a stooge.

As far as his "wife's" reaction, she is an actor too, right?

He has been out. I don't think he spent that long in lock up, they moved him to the psych ward right off the bat. Then released him on bail pending his appeal. And they talk about white privilege.
