With the introduction of the four strokes into the racing classes, will his motors still be viable? Seems like he has a motor that has nowhere to go now. A genius of a dude. Wish him well.

probably go on the thousands of hulls designed for lightweight 2 strokes?

I had a buddy by a drag rotator from Merc in 2016, it was on the shelf with 2 others and a couple 280s for over 2 years. If those weren't exactly rolling off the shelf, it's not like something that costs maybe double that will fare any better. I think this site represents the small boat performance market. Most of that market is more interested in cutting up a fishing motor than dropping on a billet motor on a 20+ year old 20" mid on a 20+ year old boat. The CRT wasn't designed for the grass roots hobbyist. My opinion, of course.

My guess was he was designing it to be a spec motor for racing organizations. Now that a manufacturer stepped in with something new, I'd guess that puts the end to that. Didn't the 300R kinda become the spec motor for the offshore crowd?

Like I said, guy is a genius, and that motor makes my bits tingle.
