    Donzi 30 ZF opinions?

Always wanted a CC! This one looks like it fits the bill. How fast?

    Smooth water handling?

    Rough water handling?

    Convenience of the set up?

    Fishablity?

    Good choice

I just bought a 32zf with merc 250’s. Great all around boat. I have an open bow not a cuddly. It’s a 60 mph, stable, roomy fishing boat. The 30 should be a little faster than mine.

Paul, good boats, run well and fairly priced! Also nice feature isthe transom door some have.
Also look at the Concepts. Have had a few and always worked well here in some rough waters.
    25/27' single 250...50, 23' single 225....55
Key factor is finding a clean one and for me a non heavily fished package....

Paul, I looked at everything, problem I found is most center consoles are beat and not taken care of. The Donzi, Concept and scarab became the final 3 choices. I just happen to find, actually my son did, the Donzi out in Michigan and it was clean and freshwater its entire life. Frank Mole ( I would never use anyone but him) Grabbed it for me and I could not be happier. Most people want 4 strokes and fly by wire controls. I happen to like hearing the motors and feeling the boat shift, maybe 4 strokes are in my future. The toughest part is finding a clean CC. Also, I installed backrests and had a nice pad made so its more family friendly. I think 2015 is when the CC's started with nicer seating. I go offshore and it gets rough, so it was the heaviest hull out of the 3 also, I really like the Concept but all the ones I looked at had a cuddy.

The 30 Donzi is a roomier boat than the Concept.... Buddy has a 27 Concept with twin 225 Opti's, runs 70 on a light load but is not set up for speed. The 27 concept is narrow compared to the 30 Donzi. I like that Donzi, would like it more with a pair of new V-8 300+ mercs........

I agree it sure is a bit roomier with more comfort features, very nice boats!
We use our Concept to run around island hopping and beaching. In our case we love the simplicity and it runs very well in that weekend busy traffic. Also enjoy the lower freeboard for easier boarding, loading and unloading at the beach.

So is the Donzi all composite? I am going to fish and play in it so if it has a bit of wear, that is not a problem. It has been a long time (too long) since I have had access to an OS boat for fishing. 4hrs and I can be in some of the most productive waters in the Gulf.

I did a bit of research on Fountains. What I read is the 31 would be the one to get. They are wood boats though, right?

Nice boats... !!! I want a tall bow as I don't plan to beach it. A tall bow can be handy in the snot 60 miles offshore. Being used is no problem as long as it is not beat to $hit!

BTW I found a cheaper one with more familiar power. Plus I really don't like triple axle trailers.

31Fountain has a smaller beam and weighs less, 8’4” beam and I think the hull is 4800lbs. The 32 donzi is 7000lbs and the beam is 9’5”. Donzi and scarab are faster but they are lighter and narrow. Now....if anyone has been on the newer fountain 34 or 38 those are really nice! If I had no college and deeper pockets, I would recommend the Everglades, Whaler, GW, and contenders.
