What are you guys running for a tach?

My merc tach died in my Shadow after my voltage reg took a chit and sent more volts than it should have through it. Looking at replacements. Probably won't turn much over 7K. What are you guys running for tachs? Is there a simple 2:1 adaptor for an auto tach?

I’ve been using the auto meter carbon fiber line of gauges and have been really pleased. Had some others complain about the auto meter gauges with the red needles having a fading problem. These are silver and have had zero issues with them.

I use the Merc gauges, no complaints, but they are not as fancy as the autometer gauges (no recall, etc)

Thanks guys. Does anyone know if there is a simple "adapter" of sorts to be able to run an automotive tach on a V6 outboard? I have an Autometer but it's not set up for the 12 pole. If not, I'll just write the check...

They are a very accurate tach but getting hard to find. Autometer marine make good gauges.
