Now you are singing my song.... I am not sure which one is louder, a Stacker at WOT or a Federal "Q" siren at full spin? Only you would know the answer to that one because you have enjoyed both...

Mercury powered at 110 mph, Alan Stoker and his mod-V hull, to an overall win in the Parker Enduro 2023.

Interesting uh? These big powerful outboards are pushing 'pleasure' boats as fast as tunnel boats with APX engines. The tunnel hull had a long run starting in 1966. Now it's back to 1965!

Somebody else's thread currently in sour grapes because Stoker's running a Merc, let alone a four stroke. It's time to change with the times and technology and Stoker just made the mark on the wall for all the deniers (2 stroke).

Easy enough. Download the image from the this website and send it to a Costco photo center and they can print a poster for you.

In a nutshell, unless they can seriously reduce the size and weight of these four stroke engines, the true tunnel is not top dog now. That is why the tunnel hull never was a success in the pleasure boat world. If they can't stay light and nimble they are disadvantaged.

Lots of tunnels and Mod VP when the 2 stroke v6 was around. Can't put those tanker 4 strokes on a old 18-19 tunnel. Big money where they put 3+ on the back of a boat. Merc just going for the payday.
