how does someone get a "reputation" on this site ?
recently I've recived messages about a reputation rating, I've never herd of such a thing, and can't readily find any reference to such a rating. just curious, I'm cerntally not hooked up with modern media, ie twitter, facebook, or whatever, so there are "protocals" I'm unfamilar with. gossip? just wondering, I'd give anybody any help I could and want nothing from this site other the friendships and advice. hope that dosen't offend anyone. fun out

You don't need any modern media expertise. You just need to keep posting numerous SOB "lists" with large, different colored fonts until you tick off everyone and get a reputation.

your reputation is the little green rectangle under your name,i think that if you post something that someone else reads and likes ,or dislikes ,they can click onthe black star at the lower left of your post ( next to the blog this post)to add to your reputation...at least thats what i THINK happens?

Under your name is a green box like mentioned by Gary. That is your reputation status. It used to function much better than it does now, 1 green box meant bronze, two silver and three gold. Any one can add to or take away from a posters reputation. It's the asterik at the bottom left of your box that you posted just to the right of Blog this Post. The triangle is used to report a Post or thread. When this is used it raises a flag to the admins/moderators for review. I use it every time I see a Spammer posting.
When a member uses the reputation feature it allows for a comment or not. Some members comment some don't. When a member comments it shows who gave you reputation or not. When no comment is made it doesn't. It only shows that you received reputation.
If you click on Notifications (top right of page). it will take you to your PM's. In the box that says My Settings scroll down to general settings. Open that and a array of options will appear. In those options will also show your repretation points.Last edited by HStream1; 03-03-2013 at 08:02 AM.
