Proprider by any chance do you have the measurements for the jig? I would like to build one for my viper soon and get it supported better. Id build it myself but problem is i'm only home a few days a month and if I had the measurements that would be more than enough and save me a bunch of time. Just get the lumber, break out the saw and go. Thank you for posting all this and man that thing is fricking sweet!! I'll be looking forward to seeing some pics of it in action.

The jig was made with the hull turned upside down and built right on the hull/bottom. While upside down, I used 3 large pieces of cardboard to trace out the bottom shape and strakes. This was done at the transom, then 4ft forward, then at 8ft. and transferred that to 1/2" plywood. Once the plywood pieces were cut out, I began framing it together. The outside dimensions of the unit are 6ft wide x 8ft long. A 2"x6"x8' board was used at the bottom of the V to support the pad while 2"x4" boards were used to support the strakes. A pieces were screwed together so it could be disassembled for reuse. It would be kind of hard to give you all individual measurements but only took me an evening to build from scratch and paint. Look closely at the pictures posted to see what I explained. Hope this helps.

The new shop isn't completed and doesn't have any heat yet either, the long Michigan winter hasn't allowed for much progress. Getting stoked for some warmer weather to continue progress. Got the shop wiring finished and working on insulation and lighting.

Good to see you still around Joe! Hope all is well with you and yours. The winter here has been colder than I can ever remember and I'm ready for summer! Look forward to seeing some more awesome progress on your Viper!

After looking at my POS windshield hanging on the wall, I think I'm going to attempt to make one of my own out of polycarbonate. I've made them before for my racing hydro and think I can build a nice one for my Viper.
