Common running lights... LED these days?

Been running the family recreation boat, daylight only, without any working red/green front and white rear. But I have the interior out for another job and I figure this is as good a time as any to get the lights working again and replace the single split red/green in front and the removable white post fixture in the rear.

The question... Is it pretty typical to go to LED these days? They seem pretty common on Amazon, just wondering if there are any drawbacks to it such as unreliability issues in a boat application?

I think the LEDs are great... either LED fixtures or retrofit LED bulbs into the stock lights both work great.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/ has (I think) the best bulbs... most of the ebay ones I tried were junk.

I put some led strip lights tucked under the rub rail. Been great all year no issues lots of compliments too. Can’t see them in the daylight and super bright at night.

I went with a $16 Amazon bow light for my beater boat. The boat stays in year round and gets used regularly, going on 2 years now. The only issue is the wire supplied with the light. It's short in length and the gauge size is super small probably the lower single digits.

Start with adapter bulbs. No re-wiring needed. LED bulbs cannot be used on 12VDC systems where micro processing boards are in the system (vehicles). Boats are pretty straight forward.
