The only way I’ve had any luck with the photos loading correctly is to take them horizontally. Any pics taken with the phone held vertically rotate when loading up to the site

Getting there.
Here are a few photos from today
That lower Cowl will probably get a tapered cut like a real race one.
The power head is ready to assemble now.
It was a mission to get the cage to rod bolt clearence right.
The cages are stuffed in 5/16 inches but it's no use slotting the rod bolt head because top guided rods drift on the journal.
So I had to make low profile rod bolts.
It was simple in the end but took a while to get there.Last edited by NZ Sidewinder; 08-23-2024 at 11:44 PM.

Update
Motor goes well.
Running without a tuner.
That means the distance from the base of the block to the open void of the midsection is 1/2 inch.
Motor runs quiet.
This is probably because of the water jets that are spraying the underside of the 1/2 inch thick base plate.
The motor is running stock 2.0L small chamber heads cut .040.
About 31-32 cc
150psi.
Reed cages stuffed in 24cc approx.
Unusual port timing.
.014 machined off tops of pistons because of over cut decks.
Exhaust 1.500/1.550.
Motor turns a 26p Ballistic through 7k easily.
We have only done a few short runs.
The motor is running stats and poppet but has 2 x 4mm jets in the base plate as well.
These jets are in 1/4 bsp plugs that can be accessed from the bottom of the mid when gearbox is removed.
Water pressure at speed is 15psi which I like.
