1994 Allison Marine inc 17CC w/ delta pad rebuild.
Needed a little bigger sand bar hopper boat, so I'm getting away from the Mini boats for now. Picked up this 17' Allison marine inc center console project the other day, ( not the typical familiar Allison manufacture ) getting to work on the hull. they only made these 1994-1995 and from what I can tell a few other companies had a very similar hull or even used the same mold at one point. Even with all the rotted wood and waterlogged foam the boat seems pretty light, should be fast for what it is. Thinking a Merc pro xs 115 for it when finished but open to other options. Boat has a 8" Delta style pad that progressively gets narrower toward the bow. Not really a high perf boat but should be a decent family hauler. Plan to extend the strakes all the way to the back on the one set and possibly add a little depth to the pad, undecided on that part though, wouldn't be much maybe 1/4'' or less for a little added lift.

Got the bottom fully glassed with a fresh layer of 1708, got core bonded and glassed on the pad. Cut out and bonded first layer of core on the transom. Making progress. second layer of core will be staggerd at the joint at the transiton of materials, knees & stringers will butt up against that seam for added strength.

I got the stringers glassed in, made some knees and got them glassed I , started making some bulkheads. I was curious as the boat felt very light so I weighed it and as it sits it's only 341 lbs, Only structural things left to add are a few sets of bulkheads and the floor, both will be super light. I anticipate this hull being around 550lbs complete without engine, should be fun with a 115 pro XS on it, they make around 135hp from what I hear.
