    RIP Alan Sapp

Hey guys I haven't been posting here much lately but would just like to let yall know that my father in law Alan Sapp passed away last Sunday at 73 years old. He was an outboard mechanic for 40+ years in Savannah, GA and went to drag boat / circle racing all over the southeast in the 90's and early 2000's with his boats. He ran a Vision Craft tunnel, Allison Drag, Hydrostream Vegas XT, and a light Triad V21....along with others I can't remember. He blew over the Vision Craft twice over 100mph within a year and walked away from it with just bruises during personal testing at the local boat ramp. I've tried to reach out to some of his long distance racing buddies with no success so I figured I'd post this to see if anyone on here knew him and wanted to contact the family. If anyone wants to contact the family please text me at 912-429-0172....I do not answer calls I don't know. Thanks guys and have a good night.

Sorry for your loss. I'm certain your father in-law had a larger life being involved in the boat racing fraternity. Prayers to your family.

Thanks for everything guys he was one hell of a great man and like a father to me. He got me into the outboard business about 15 years ago and I owe him a ton for the knowledge I received from working with him. May he rest in peace and race boats in heaven!

Yes sir he had a great time trying to make boats go faster and his son Brian could probably write a book on all the experiments in the early days. He even made a set of titanium connecting rods for one of the big block Johnsons he used to run...feels like a piece of paper when you pick one up compared to a normal rod...thanks for the prayers and please try to have a good night sir.

CUDA thanks for posting this especially since I can't even hardly post pictures. Tonight was the memorial and there was 200-300 that showed up from just around town. This has been a horrible loss to the community and we thank everyone for their help.
