If they did that, they'd all be lawyers and we'd have no cops

The people who go to be police obviously aren't crooked enough to be lawyers.

If only that were true. I wonder what % of lawyers are criminal defense?

Think about all the other ones; real estate, marriage, corporate, patent, the list goes on.

My theory on why lawyers are, well, what they are. If people were able to get along and hold up their end of the bargain there would be no demand for lawyers. If there was no demand for lawyers, there would be no lawyers. So is it the lawyers fault, or the person that cannot hold up their end of the bargain?

It's the lack of moral behavior in our society these days. Amoral behavior is everywhere you look. It is seen as OK these days and is the key reason we have the problems we have right now. Honestly, what social issue wouldn't be solved if people followed a strong moral code.

Lack of moral behaviour is one reason. Another is the general lack of being able to accept responsibility for your actions. I call it " I'm not my fault". My father used to say "Do what you say & say what you do".
