Well..the OMC 3 cylinders killed the Merc 4 cylinder 80/85HP. In the UIM E and H offshore class we use the same boats with different power.
The E class was much faster than the H with the heavier low power Merc 4 cyl. 80/85 HP.
This is me E-99 flying by a Merc 80 in the H class with my Evinrude 65..!!..1973.
Must H class racers change to E class.. some used the Merc 3 cyl but most drivers used the better and faster OMC 3 cyl.

31m is about 120hp runs to over 9000, not much keeps up with that at 850cc

What was the story on that boat? It won Parker but never showed up anywhere in the East?

Well..the Overall win in Parker 1970 was maybe the only purpose for the winning boat..
