Damn if I didn’t just wet my knickers—— I feel the same way about the Cosworth, as Rich and Gene and Kenny and Ted feel about the SWITZER —— has to be a pair of in line stackers.
I know Rich has deviated from this format——- but as he gets to be more mature, he will become a Puritan—— and nothing short of a matched pair of tower stackers will do.
Wouldnt surprise me in the least if he hasn’t already squirrelled a pair already!

Mike Randell passed around 2003.....He let me watch him do a set for Lotus Twin Cam back in the day. Straight lengths of pipe filled with sand plugged each end. Other folk around who can still do the task though.

Had a busy morning—- all I’ve got to show is a pair of acetylene headlamps and the mounts ready to fit number two.
Do have a clear afternoon—— hoping to get the front and back “Carriage” lamps and the four mudguard lights all spun up!

Did manage four carriage lamps , which is pretty damn good.
The Cosworth motor BONHAMS have for sale is non compatible for the Cosworth project—— showed it to Malcolm Tyrrell ( man in charge of the project At Cosworth’s ) —— he delved into it and said that it was an “Indy” engine —— only most of the parts missing were no longer available and were only ever made in small amounts. It would be almost impossible to build a complete motor from what they’re offering.
Thought it was too good to be true !
Due for some Death Valley weather here—— could get to way over a hundred——- or it could be the weather girl throwing her panties in the air.

I did think along those lines at the time of my original post. But unless these things get flagged up as and when...We will never know.

Pity—- it’s all brand new, but not enough bits to make it “tick” and the missing bits are non existent—— only hope, would be to find a tired old “Indy” lump and hope there was enough pieces to finish the jigsaw !
Did hear of a “HILLCLIMB” individual who had a yard full of DFV’s —- along with spare everything—- but I never found him!

The DFV was indeed the motor of choice amongst the top British hillclimb boys for a while but like anything else they found something lighter /cheaper more powerful etc.etc......Perhaps you have a name you could P.M. to me.
