A better look at that funky new Sharrow prop

Saw the ad on Facebook. They’re really dumping $ into the advertising. I’m pretty spatially intelligent, but even this thing hurts my brain lol

Agee .. like the tests you see with dye in the water, Im not sold on this thing.. seems like there is alot of blade area at the outer ring (Drag) thats not directly going to convert horsepower to linear thrust.. almost looks to be negative pitch in some areas of that curve.. Time will Tell..

Has anyone done comparison tests against a "common" prop like a Mercury Trophy or Tempest?

Turbine. Its the tip the makes the difference. The cost is dragging the supporting blade down the backside along for the support requirement. The machining there is where they won the battle imo by finding that slippery place in the prop wash perhaps to let it cost less than the tip cupping edge gains. My hat goes off this must have taken some diligent testing to perfect.

Just a theory keep in mind but I tend to see mechanical/heat function almost instantly for whatever reason I dont know I just do. I'd be curious to hear the designers input on this over time it will all come to light. If anyone catches this thread? Bump it, and we'll see if Im on track or off in yonkers. Ha

    As above, time will tell

I feel that this design will be creating more slip due to a "hole" in the face of the blade. Like many, I'd want to see an underwater test. It may just turn out to be another gimmick.....like magnets for your fuel line that give you 100mpg
