2002 225 promax x
Im kinda new to this but ? are the rings on this motor top pinned factory ? motor has 275 hours one Hr above 6000 RPM run on a bass boat would this motor be ready fro a rebuild or will it / should it last compression is 135 all 6 did not do a leak down test any good builders in Wisconsin I cant find anyone who seems to really know anything about this motor

No your piston are side pinned ...Do a leakdown your steel sleeved motor should go over 500 hours with no issues ...

You may want to get the injectors cleaned. This would also allow you to check the condition of the rubber grommets that hold the injector plate in place.
