    Bit of info...
Always run your hose for a couple of seconds before attaching to rear of motor. Don't make my mistake and blow a lizard into the pee hole. Ended up plugging the line and had to be taken in to have our local Evinrude shop to remove.

    Well..33 years later (2018) Mercury introduce a production 300 HP V8.

OMC was way ahead of the competition when the production V8 came out 1985.

Modified by Evolution Marine the engine was close to 400 HP over 30 years ago and half the weight of the new 2018 Yamaha 425HP 5.6 liter V8..

I tried to keep up with that triple offshore rig heading out of Haulover Inlet one day while water testing a 32 foot CC with twin 235s. We came out of the inlet into the open water, he looked back and saw me trying to keep up, pushed the sticks forward and disappeared. The sound of that thing is still in my head today...glorious!

I purchased the first 38 ft Evolution Marine Scarab with triple V8 engines 1987/88 and sold it to Finland.
The boat was stored in a garage in North Miami. A Texas man owned it he built another one.
There was also a 43 ft.
