Well, three guys in the boat, I'm sure they can get it back in the water on their own.

Would have been a lot worse if it were two boats up on plane going opposite directions around those blind turns

Some of these paddle boarders are really brave "or stupid" too. I had to run out of the marked channel last night coming home from dinner to get around a group-I don't know what a big boat would have had to do, they weren't moving over for us.

In a quiet kayak you would hear the boat coming a 1/4 mile away. I would have paddled for the bushes as fast as I could, and it would never have happened. This kayak guy was pushing the right of way point imo....

This may be true, but you gotta admit, the guy in the boat was being quite reckless by running those speeds in a narrow, twisty canal..... When I'm in my kayak, I'm usually up out of the channel unless I'm crossing it. The guy in the kayak should have been closer to shore. As Trump says: they were both at fault.

I agree, power boat could have done a lot of things. So could the yaker. He knew the boat was there way before the boat saw him.

Not defending the kayak guy, fishing in a the middle of any narrow passage isn't smart, but I have fished many areas like this down in the 1000 isles of flamingo. And yes you can hear a boat coming and going, and never see it.

Most states in oz have speed rules that are both depth and distance to shore related.
