Yes, but I got it together and I got it running. However, during the first few test with the Monty's on the back it became obvious that I needed more rigidity. Fear not, I've hired the best of the best to help out, and the boat will finally be 100%. It's been a long road but I've loved every second of it.

You need to start a GoFundMe to pay for the fuel that wicked fun beast will be consuming.

Time to get your inspiration back

What would you consider paying to get efi on each engine

Don't know. Depends on so many factors. I have planned on replacing the Monty's with Suzukis in a few years but if Monty makes a reliable system I will definitely look at it. I love those motors but they do love fuel, no ifs or butts about it.

Efi won't help mileage much if at all.

Depends on how you look at it. MPH - No, probably no change at all, MPG - Yes, big difference. No comparison between a V6 from 1987, and a new V6 with today's EFI on them. Especially in the mid range cruising RPM's, which I run most of the time.

What v6 with efi? Evinrude never had efi they only had carb or DFI. But we r not talking about Dfi that will double your mileage at cruise EFI will NOT.

I know what your saying baja but there is a good chance that the fuel demand curve doesnt match the carb flow in all cases.
You must also pick up a bit of bsfc due to better atomisation.
Plus there is the change to the inlet tract depending on what you do for air handling.
Depending how much you spend for the efi box you could get individual cyl fuel mapping as well
If you use Etec front that also means bigger reeds and less pumping loss due to cleaner air flow.

Boat is sanded and ready for primer. I have replaced the stringers with foam/glass, the transom was done with Arjay, bottom prepped and straightened, all wood removed and replaced with foam/glass, and I am replacing the three Monty motors with 2 Suzuki 300's, then adding two more Suzuki 300's as soon as I can find insurance for it. I have also removed the radar arch, cut (actually made new) windshield, and upgraded a few other items. the boat should be a lot lighter, a lot stronger than it ever was, and more than ready for 1200HP. I kept one of the Monty motors and plan on using it on a new STV two seater once the scarab project is done. The Scarab will be painted in Silver metallic and receive black Scarab decals when done. Life is good....

I don't know, that duo prop thingy just don't impress me much. I think I stick with the good ole 300's...

I cannot tell you how impressed I am with that Arjay stuff. The transom is rock solid and I do not expect any kind of issues with it either from what I have heard from others who have used it. The 1300HP wasn't even a challenge for it.

It works great for sterndrives. But prop selection will of course be very limited...

I think we have yet to see much if any prop development in duos yet
