I've got a Gander Mtn cover. Fits okay, keeps the boat clean and dry. I have a support in the center and the front seat as a support. Ratchet straps complete the support. Says it's trailerable. keep it down to 30 MPH. Price was acceptable and it seems sturdy.
I carry a gun because a cop won't fit in my pocket.

i'm dealing with National boat covers right now ,they offer sunbrella & will make covers to fit owners measurements.needing a replacement for a 15 year old cover for my Mastercraft Prostar.if the quality & fit is what i hope ,i will then have them make a sunbrella cover for my STV.the cost wasn't too bad ,under $500. on a side note ,i have tried several inexpensive covers over the years & found that they only last a year or so & some say "waterproof" but are as if covering with a screen .i own way more boats than my garage allows so all are stored outside ,i have found sunbrella is the best for the elements. i"ll report back later this week when i get the new cover.stay tuned.

Try coversdirect.com also. Lots of colors to choose from and warranty terms based on material type. I have a 7year performance style cover.

I bought a Sunbrella cover for my Bullet through iBoats, made by Westland for $500!
iBoats said it was a custom cover! The fit was horrible and reinforced areas even worse! Emailed iBoats 15 times to no avail so I Took it to a local shop and spent another $240 having it altered to fit.
Then I called Westland with my gripe, Plus My Bill, and was told by them that it was NOT a Custom Cover that I purchased?
Westland called iBoats and with-in an hour's time iBoats had refunded me the $240!!

For my CC (without ttop) - I'm looking at going with 18 ounce vinyl like truckers use. Not worried so much about the fit as it will get bungeed to the trailer. Also, I want enough to cover the engine and hang about halfway down the sides. The over hang will still let a little air underneath.

    Thoughts?

Vinyl is no good as it can't breath even with vents. Any of the boats that come in with it are always wet or damp inside and smell. Some even have mold growing inside.

I bough one of these from Amazon - - - Really heavy duty and handles 65mph on the highway ok for short 20 minute drives. I've only had it this past summer, and my only complaint is that it has faded in the sun a bit. I did have to make a structure that holds it up in the center. I got the small one, and it fits my 14' boat pretty well.

I have an engine cover I bought from Attwood that is absolutely amazing - Love the thing. Here's the link for that...

That's the problem with most reviews being that no one really posts a year later or if they needed warranty. For $150 I'm good with one lasting two years, but not less than that.

My main goal is keep the sun off and from ruining the padded vinyl leaning post, back rests etc.

The largest is $72... Seems like a bargain to me even if you bought a new one every year haha.

See about custom cover. Its going to be better and prob outlast the generic ones long enough to cost less in the long run.
Black Sunbrella will last the longest and make sure use Tenura thread.

ID:	353008 a couple pics of the new eevelle semi custom cover, came with a bag of straps & buckles & a nice storage bag ,using bungy chords for now till i have time to fit up.completely covers ski platform & the flat areas of the sides ,rot proof thread was used .sunbrella should last for a few years.... i wont use as a transport cover ,just storage.was around half the price i was quoted for a custom made sunbrella cover which would only cover slightly below the rub rail.note the hump at windshield ares is the bimini top.

    Thumbs down

here is an example of a cheep cover ,less than a year old ,note the black matereal on seams , started rotting after a few months in Florida weather, also was advertised as 100% waterproof ,NOT!!! leaked badly at first rainstorm,i have had to use a plastic tarp under the cover to keep all water from the interior, was an Empire cover for a 22 ft boat & 106 inch wide with a & year warranty ,useless waste of money.it does keep the sun off the boat ,lol i"ll be replacing it soonClick image for larger version.
