    Looking for a part #

I need some help finding a part. This is a single ram trim, 2.something mid (now OS). I need to replace the pin that goes through the brackets and the top part of hydraulic trim ram.

    Any input would be appreciated.

That was helpful, but all the places I'm checking show the part as NLA. It's part number 85024. Anybody know anybody that might have one for sale?

Somebody at Merc should get kicked right square in the nuts for designing that mess... I have two single ram trim units here with the pins broken in half.

"Gee Gomer, let's see how bad we can make this... drill a hole in the shaft and then drive a wedge into the hole, what could go wrong?"

Yeah, I can make a better one but the broken pin has the holes all beat up so it's more than just making a pin now.

You could make the hole blind and thread it for bolt or grub screw . Stronger than a through hole .

Yes, I don't use the trim gauge or trailer/tilt switch so I don't need the slots on the ends for that; which also means the pin doesn't have to be anchored to keep it from turning... which means I don't even need a hole in it.

But, like I said, the broken pin messed up the yolk on the top of the trim ram, too.
