Fun reading this thread. Used to be a bit hard on the cops when I was a kid. Got embarrassed one morning at 2 am after a night of joy riding when the Wright county sheriff knocked on the door asking for me. This dude had to both duck and turn sideways to come in the door. After following our path of relatively light destruction for hours, he finally got a license number and came checking. I had gotten stuck in someone's flower garden (in the winter) and they accused me of destroying their property. I had spoken to them at the time, asked them what they figured the damage was, gave them $10, and went on my way. When I told the sheriff that, he got mad, but not at me. He did tell me that I shouldn't be cutting cookies at every intersection in Clearwater in the middle of the night.

I don't think the Clearwater cop ever figured out who chained his rear end to the light pole.

I've only ran in a boat one time, was heading back to the launch and it was close to dark. Game wardens had someone stopped and waved for me to pull over, I just waived back and they tried to chase. I normally would have stopped but I had to cross a very shallow dangerous flat from the river mouth I was in to the main lake and didn't want to either get stuck by coming off plane or get caught on the wrong side of the flat after dark.

They disaperred into the distance behind me trying to follow , next day my neighbor that was lame patrol at the time asked me about it since my boat fit the description. Told him why I didn't stop and thought they could just yell at me at the ramp.

I never saw them come out of the river mouth, he told me they got stuck trying to follow.

One thing you'll never hear or read is Intelligent and or smart in same sentence with Police officer !!! I.Q = to flat squirrel !

Back in the day we would make sure they got the message not to F uck with us , if not their homes got shot up , ahh the good old days !

Saying cops are not intelligent and then posting you used to shoot up their houses......priceless.

Let me clarify , I personally didn't , however I hung out with some nasty not to f ucked , hard core motorcycle club members whose recreational time was to call the police on themselves and watch the dumb cops chase their tail . Ahh the good old days
