Rayzor, Hey buddy just to let you know she makes a run in the am. Do not know about you but we all have been doing this for years to get to this point. We are in no hurry to do this. As stated before we take baby steps! We need to keep everyone safe and we are trying to go where no man has ever gone before. If you want to get in a hurry go for it . Have a very big check book and tons of great people around you. Pass after the am will be at an event , you may want to bring your boat and run it, Take Care

Since I don't usually take the C-130 Hercules to the boat ramp , I Mapquested Havasu to Long Beach .. 408 miles .
Maybe it's where I went to school , but I would tend to call California a coastal state and Arizona a border state ... but who knows if it's gonna break at the fault line or a little west ...
I get it , your boy , finally posted more than a picture of a windshield on fazebook seein that boat in the water idling away was more than you could handle , and felt like you needed to Razz someone instead of just asking ...Either way, back to the boats - yes, I agree that one is a drag hydro and the other is a top-speed contender. However, this thread contains several references to quarter mile passes (including estimated ET) as test passes for the top-speed rig before going after the top-speed record. It was also previously posted when the boat was going to get on the clocks, yet nothing was ever posted afterwards. I can understand if you want to keep a project under wraps until it is doing what you want it to, but this project was thrown on a worldwide public forum almost two years ago with not a single performance number posted yet. But thank you for now posting that there are teething problems being addressed. It's fully understandable that it may take some time (even a long time) to get this rig sorted out, as it is a completely new setup. But don't get upset if people question why they haven't heard anything (or heard of problems) when you guys aren't updating the thread that you started. All of us really like the project, and would love to see it work, we'd just like to hear of any progress - good or bad - since it seemed like we were all invited along on this journey going after the Outboard World Record.

Kind of a "dull - razzin" compared to round here .. As you can see , talk $hiz , and you get called out quick ...
Braille batteries + charger ......... $1600
RGR/Monty 600 hp mota ....... $48,000
Knowin Razzer will never get
this close ...........................Priceless

600 hp? Is that all motor or with some additional help?

After thinking about it , what i said had nothing to do with the question ... AZ , it's going to take 600 beans to run the projected number ... I'm sure it will come , even if it does take a sniff of "fresh air" .....

Erik ,
I was in the middle of throwin a handfull , OK , a steam shovel load of mud back at Razz .
Every race of "any" kind is important to those who , participate , promote or follow from at an event or from far away ... I get that . No disrespect intended ...
I also know that there are events that stand out in any series . Be it The World Series , Superbowl , Stanley Cup , Daytona 500 , US Nationals , etc...
To an outboard racer like yourself . Is there any one single event that stands out above the rest .. ? Or are they all the same to you ... ?
I know I had mine ... and i never did grab that one ring ... Dayumid ...

The LCB info is interesting as well. I guess Mr. M was impressed with the hulls performance.

Sure, it would have to be Jasper but I wish some of the guys that want to go there and race would support the clubs throughout the year. We just had a race with 3 times the purse money as Jasper has and still didn't have the boat count there because people are "saving it for Jasper". Don't get me wrong, it was a great race with 53 entries, just like to see fields like that more often

Trust me, I get it. Not only have I gone through a first-of-it's-kind build with my own Skater 30 (hull #1), but I've also been there every step of the way with my buddy's one-of-a-kind center mounted Jone's capsule KRR race program. I guess the only difference is, both of those projects were quick to get right. The first poker run I entered with my 30 (just 3 months after I took delivery), we were the first boat to the first stop out of 140+ boats, and my buddy Steve Sequeria (whom I crew for) won the Long Beach Sprint Nationals the first season his K-boat saw the race circuit (which we also just won the same race this past weekend). Not to mention Tony set a new TAF record with the new Shazam this year right out of the gate (which Randy Ball subsequently just beat this weekend). It's fully understandable that things may be taking longer for your rig to get a handle on, and I'm not posting trying to call you out or anything, but we all would just like to know what it's doing. Again, you guys started this thread for us to all follow along in your trials and tribulations, but it seems like since the boat has hit the water, you guys have gotten quiet. Nobody will look down on you guys by being honest and sharing issues you're having, none of us are doubting that in time, it will be an animal! I think this internet stuff really comes across wrong sometimes, because I'm not at all trying to be negative on your project. I'd be the first guy over in your pit to check it out if you guys brought it to a race out West. I'll be at the WFs in November if you guys decide to make the trip, I'd sure like to see it in person, and really would like to see it make some passes. Again, don't take my posts the wrong way, I wish you guys all the luck! And please be careful, after the loss of Mike Fry this past Sunday, it brings to the forefront just how dangerous this all is...........

I'll do whatever it takes to get some more pics out of you guys!
That's one badass rig - even if you guys obviously don't want to use a dull razor to cut the canopy glass with ever again.
And I'm glad to see you have a sense of humor Chaz, so maybe one day we can have a beer together at the track instead of just typing on our keyboards at eachother.

Trials and tribulations ... So you have the very first cat ever built ? None ever before it .. ? No Walt Disney 10' kiddy cats ? No 21" .. ? No 24's .. ? No 28's .. No 29's ..? No ..31's 40's or 50' quad motor aluminum Cougars ... ? What did you have to do , move a drink holder a half an inch to get the balance correct .. after taking delivery of a complete running boat .. with the motors "inside the boat" ?
Your compliments are dulled by the ever present cut formed within the same sentence. It would be like me saying : Man Dale , that 30' of yours sure is nice , is that the one you flipped over .
I'm sure you get the point in that .
Moving on , like I said , if you want to know something , just ask .
As far as "bad handling" , it's only been run in canal- X . Long , calm , narrow water way carved out by the Army Corp. before I was born . Not an ideal place to run , turn , turn around a boat meant for only one thing . It would be like taking a salt flats racer thru a drive thru burger joint.
The boat has "outgrown" it's testing facility , the air is prob around 3500' D/A . Neither ideal for crackin the 200MPH mark .
Them boys gotz a lotz of irons in the fire right now. Heck they got my old azz on 5 or 6 projects at all times ... it isnt like they been bustin butt on "just" that boat , in the big picture , to me it kind of looks like one of their smaller undertakings ..
but dont take my word for it , I'm just the stupid welder ..
