    bleeding the system

I had a mayfair system but I believe it works the same. Fill the system to the top and loosen one of the hyd. lines on the ss cyl enough and have someone turn the wheel slowly back and forth until you only have fluid coming out of the fitting and then tighten it up. You'll need to do this many times and for each hyd. line front fitting and back fitting of the ss cyls. Remeber to continue to fill the helm so you don't empty it. Hope this helps.

Have a constant flow going to the helm so no air comes in.

    Bleeding

One other tip that may help. Get the noe of the boat as high as you can, air will more readily follow lines up the the helm to be bleed off as well as the fittings of the ram or rams. Repeatedly crack open the ram fittings as well as the fill spout on the cap. helm, after every couple of complete wheel turns to the Rt. and then Lft. like was stated before until only oil leaks out no air bubbles. Bleeding

Call Latham and get the proper bleeding procedure. If you follow the directions in this thread, you'll likely be bleeding for a long, long time.

    Been there....
