    Question Jeep 3.7?

How are the Jeep 3.7 v6s holding up? Do they have enough guts for a grand Cherokee? I have near 200 k on my 4.0 I6 , engine is great, the rest of it is a little tired. I'm thinking about another one, is there any thing comparable thats a better value? Thanks MartyD

I rented a Jeep Liberty in Florida, and it was absolutely gutless compared to the 4.0 Inline 6 Cherokee. It had very weak low-end torque, you can stomp the pedal on wet pavement and barely get any tire slip. Economy was only marginally better. The V8 may be a gas guzzler, but I could not imagine driving the alternative in a larger vehicle.
