A friend of mine just bought a loaded '06 Mustang GT for under 30. And the chrysler stuff with the Hemi may be over 30, but they offer it in other versions for less. Watch and see if Chevy even does build the Camaro, IF they do it will have one mill option and one price. And it will be out of reason.

Muscle: That's the first word that comes to mind upon seeing Chevy's concept Camaro. Big-time muscle. Enough to possibly make Arnold think about switching allegiances within the GM family. Build it and they will come; drop the 500-plus-bhp Corvette Z06 engine into a Z28 version and name your price.

Andrew Bornhop, Editor, R&T Specials, provides the insightful commentary to the accompanying video. Among the numerous bits of info, Bornhop reports that the new Camaro could launch as a 2009 model. AARRGGHH! We can't wait that long! Mr. Lutz: Commit to a 2008 model launch and watch the buyers line up.
WOW thats the best "concept" camaro ive seen yet! i think that one looks bad ass

Maybe im missing something but all these camaro concepts look pretty retro to me. Im not saying its ugly, in fact, there pretty cool! The only reason Went ford a few years ago was my disgust with gm and there decision to kill the fbody. This new camaro could be my next car

On the other hand, I do agree retro styling sucks. I dont like the mustang, the pt-loser is a joke, the HHR is a double loser, the ssr... well you get it. We should be moving forward, not backwards. Retro just tells me there is a lack of talent in the automotive design dept. in detroit

There's been lack of talent in detroit for over 30 years, and it took retro cars for you to realize that. I love the retro cars. Name one (non retro)car Ford or Chrysler has built since '72 that looks better than any of their current retro cars...................................................Hmmmmm, now this can get time consuming. The same would apply to GM, (excluding the current body style Corvette) only they won't build a retro car. So we can't include them in the question above.

Yeah, I was all hyped about the SSR until I saw the price.

chevy>all is supposed to be funny, hence the >

that above camaro concept is anything but retro IMO. there are some styling cues from the 1st and 3rd gen camaros. overall it looks like a camaro without being a blatant lazy ass copy with tupperware interior [cough]mustang[cough]. im glad that they are going to make it, I'll have one in my garage from the second year of production, right alongside the GOAT.

since when has GM had a 1 engine option camaro? I love how people expect to get a car for the same price as you did 10 years ago yea that'll happen. id rather pay extra for the quality than have that outdated, loose handling, rattling F-body platform. Best thing that GM did was kill the fbody, because it will be back, stronger, better handling, more comfortable, faster, and have the excellent fit-finish of the new GM cars... I know, I've had 2 of them, and the WS6 was getting "the rattle" at 13,000 miles. so flame away.

PS- Love it or hate it, the HHR is selling like crazy, its a neat looking package for a person that needs the space. quality is loads better than comparative vehicles too.

    Nice

    Hope they build it.

Looks retro to me. Cowl induction, rear quarter panel louvers, side glass lines that mimic the 67-69, guage cluster and console that mimics the 69 as well.
    Nice job.

Too bad that car doesn't have a GTO emblem on it. Was watchin' the local Chicago news this morning. Looks like they're starting to get the locals cranked up for the up and coming new car Auto Show. Lots of pics of the Challenger and Chrysler 300. They were also flashing pictures of a Subaru concept car. I didn't go to the new car show last year but the year before, all the action was at the Chrysler/Dodge booth for the 300 and Magnum. Also some crowds at Ford to look at the GT and Cobra concept car. I remember the Saab booth being pretty empty but a couple Swedish girl models were gettin' real cozy off in a corner.
