    Ha ha your right CCC's
    I thought it was a twin V8 boat..whoops off to the eye doctor
    How about 24 main jets?

    While your here do you a parts manual or a drawing for the V8 offshore with a twin pinion full shift box or can you explain how it went together?

    Regards

    Glastron 2 plus 2

    Just by accident I ran across this picture of the boat I was talking about a couple of months ago. Renato brought this to Austin Tx. and sold Bob Hammomd on it as a pleasure craft. This is a wooden boat with a johnnyrude, we were a mercury team. Found this on a Google search of "Renato Molinari".
    Also found this CT15, it is Dick Sherra (sp) when he worked for Art Carlson, if my memory serves me.

    So you think Hammond put this one in the flyer without ever making a plug?

    No, I know we did!! I worked there, drove the boat, tried everything to make it stop porposing.(sp) One of our eng. Robbie Robinson blew it over while testing it. No plug was made and it went "away". It may have wound up in the building with Bat Boat, "three point hydro" in reverse and the Banana boat.
    I worked in Experimental Research next to Styling dept. that Mel Whitley ran.
    Renato brought a "Phil Rollo " prop with him and the boat drove perfect. He put the prop back in his suitcase and took it home with him. That is a fact, I was there.

    Thanks Joe. I can stop looking for one and stop guessing about other boats being splashes of it.

    Sam;
    Bob Hammond still lives in Austin, Tx, I think. Someone has said he still has his "collection". You might try and contact him and see if the boat still exist. In his later yeard, he might let someone like you talk him out of one of those boats, knowing it would be put to good use !!!

    P.S. I would still like to know what happened to the 18 ft light weight that I sold in St. Pete. in '73.

    I ran into Bob at the EAA flyin a couple of years ago, in Oshkosh. I walked passed him among a mass of people, turned around and stopped him. Needless to say he was surprised. We talked for 20 min. or so. He really didn't look any different that he did since I saw him last which was about 20 years ago. I think he enjoyed talking about the old days.

    Just talked to Bob Hammond and he varified that we never made a plug or 2 + 2 molly. He is still living in Austin and I sent him the link to "Scream & Fly" so hopefully he will join in the fun here.

    There were a couple of the 2+2 Moli's(non cowling-open cockpit hulls) in Oshkosh.

    I believe that Garbrecht blew one over...and Tom Wenstadt wound up with the other...I saw Wenstadt's and heard about Gary's adventures at lunch one day with Mike Goerlitz and "Slick" in Oshkosh.
