Brasso is loaded up with abrasives and ammonia, whibreaks down acetate "plexiglas", and turns it cloudy. Surely you're kidding...
Any fine-cut auto polish should work good, use a DA/orbital buffer, or a rotary on SLOW speed. I used 200 grit paper, then swirl remover and then machine glaze compound on a rotary to fix my car's cloudy headlights. They sparkle like new.'89 Hydrostream Vegas XT, '90 Merc 2.4 Bridgeport PCU EFI

This is the best stuff you will ever try. Novus Plastic Polish My turntable has an eighteen pound acrylic platter and it's all I'll use on it.

Reach into your home cleaning supplies and try Pledge furniture polish. I use it on the venturi windscreen on my cruiser. Also works great on plastic speedo lenses, tail lights etc. on the car. Shines great and is very mild. Try it, it's free and it works!

Pledge isn't really a "polish", it's a silicone blend that "wets" the surface and hides scratches.

Plastic polish
NOVUS - There are 3 levels of their polish. The #1 is for fine scratches, and the #2 is for deeper ones. It works GREAT!
For fine polishing with a buffer, try 3M Finess It II. It takes a buffer to make it work. It is fantastic on engine cowls as well.
210 is the best polish and wax I have found for general up keep. It was recomended to me by a plastics engineer for use on clear windscreens and helmets. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...210cleaner.php you can find it at other sources as well.
I hope this helps,
