I would think if you want some opinions from people, posting some pic's would be a good idea. That way they could see what exactly you have. Chuck.

I would think twice about it. If I were you I'd call Sanger and talk to them about this boat with higer power!

If he is still around I would ask BAREFOOT BOB. I think he has experience with your type of set-up. I would think the boat would handle the weight and load without a problem, is it the idea set-up?

as far as weight the 300 isnt much more than a 200... maybe 60 lbs so that isnt the issue.. the issue is will the transom and structure handle the added torque and HP from the 300... it SHOULD be able to but what it schould do and what it CAN do are sometimes two different things... I would get in touch with Sanger and see if it can handle a repower of a ProXS opti and If they say it will a 300 is no big deal..
4-16-2014. 25 years old today... the fishin boat doesnt look to bad for a classic does she
things that were are no longer as they are today...

Talk to a reputable hull munfacturer, and they'll tell to be more concerned with the weight than the power... The Horsepower doesn't come on with a shock load like the weight of the engine in rough water or rough roads... Aside from that, I now absolutely nothing about Sanger Boats...

heard there was some handling issues with those boat [ from some water ski mag]. i'd run the boat hard with the 200 before adding the extra power.
