I believe Jack Leek had a lay down boat made. Jimbo tested it, but I don't remember it running any races.

If you look close, and the other posted pictures, there is no doubt that it is a Glastron Molinari. I don't believe it was ever run in competition with this paint scheme, but it's certainly a eye catching boat. Very nice find, so where DID you find it?

Yes he did have a laydown boat built by McDonald, yes it was tested, yes it was run...I believe it ran in Canada. Shortly afterwards OMC Canada contracted Lorne Pinel to build a copy of the original for use with a CCC crossflow with Spencer Dunn driving. It crashed badly at Welland Ont.

There was an Evinrude dealer down here in South Miami who ran a boat for a while looked like one of those McDonald tunnels.

The no.30 must have been a left over Molinari painted up for that photo. I thought that by the '72 Havasu race Team OMC had switched to Scotti and were also using McDonald and Cougar.
