Does anyone know the actual address of this historic location? 2016 was the last time I was boating on Lake Como and I actually kept an eye out for the Torrigia/Molinari building. After looking at the Posts above, I now see it looks nothing like it use to.

I plan on revisiting Lake Como before I depart this planet and I would certainly like to include a cruise by the historic site.

Cruise boats and the hydrofoil usually take the route on the opposite side to the TORRIGIA factory’
TORRIGIA is a very small village—- but it does have a pier and drop of Point for the cruise boats.

Thank you for the info' JW. I should have mentioned... when I travel to different parts of the world, I try and hire a self drive boat to explore the are myself.

The experience I had on Lake Como in a 18' Bowrider powered by a Merc 100hp 4 stroke was truly "unforgettable" (as Frank would say)! It was a glorious sunny day and surface of the Lake was like glass the entire day (ferry wake excepted).
I cant wait to get back there.

And now that building is past history. But it left guys like us with memories.

I too feel fortunate to have visited the Molinari factory twice, and the memories for me, with my father beside me, are priceless.

This is the same boat with its hull repaired (now sponsored by Pastis 51) after we left Molinari's shop for the Milan Grand Prix, 1984.

Old Boy, if you are cruising by on water, then on the opposite side of the lake look for the sheer rock face (near Quarzano) you see in the yellow box. From the Molinari race shop it was just on the other side of the lake.

And if you see that white residence in the photo, then you are only a block or two south of the former race site.

Old Boy if you are coming northbound from Como on water, then half-way to Torriggia, you will see the Grand Hotel Imperiale (with the lake side pool) in the town of Moltrasio.

Before that you will past Villa de Este where Jackie Stewart liked staying, before he would go down later to compete in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Both Hotels are on the west side of the lake, just like the Molinari race shop.

I just read Winston Churchill and his wife had spent two weeks in Moltrasio. So that he could relax after the war, and do some painting.

The information provided, will no doubt enable me to locate these places you have pointed out and drink in the history. Your pics made me realize I actually drove straight past these places in the hire car on my way to the car ferry to go across the Lake to stay in Bellagio for 5 days.
It was during that OS trip, I hired a boat and cruised down the lake looking for these truly historic places.

Concert money, is the lifeblood to restoring and maintaining the upkeep of the MMS. A multipurpose Miami Marine Stadium venue will survive. Whereas just being a boating venue, as history shows, the MMS will be less of a value to the community, and be neglected and deteriorate.

Listening to good live-music at MMS, is an equivalent to the sounds of watching boat racing there.

If MMS becomes a popular venue for musical entertainment, then I see it easily being extended to hosting boat races. Revitalizing the venue to its old-historical racing heritage, and creating a new generation of local race boating fans and drivers.

...who in god's creation would choose to run an engine designed solely for tunnel boat use, a T2X, and stick it on a boat to race offshore, against anything, or anybody else? wrong powerhead & carburetion system, wrong clamp bracket, wrong midsection, wrong shaft length, & wrong gearcase. other than that, it was a perfect engine choice! brilliant. he had to be the only guy in the entire world that thought this would work...
