Simply testing you—— see if the powers of observation were still in operation——- but the comma always comes after three figures for the thousands dontcha know !
Afraid I’m fighting a losing battle with the little grey cells in the memory department—— never did let it get in the way of a goodly tale !

Little grey cells ......
Let's test those little grey cells. I'm trying to figure out when Cesare Scotti started racing his own boats. In 69 he won the Miami 225 driving a single Molinari. I have pictures of him driving a Scotti at Paris in 1971. That leaves 1970 .... do you remember what he drove in Paris in 1970? Hill, Nordskog and Sanders drove Molinari's, Jimbo ran a new Goatboat. I think they also ran a couple of Schulze's and a Cougar with McCune and Beard.
PS: No, you never have let facts get in the way of a good story.

in 1970 Scotti had already signed up with OMC——- I spent most of September with my family in Lugano.
Eldest Daughter Sandra was 17 and was teaching Scotti some hip dancing moves —— he was doing his best to unsettle Renato by testing his boats on the far side of the lake every day in the run up to Paris .
Most evenings The Molinari’s——- Scotti Family—— Pellolio——-Rolla with his wife Renata and my tribe,— Buzzi—- The Rasinis would dine at the Grotto Crocci ——- a steak house just over the border in Switzerland.
Those two were childhood friends—— got on really well ——- that never changed.
Maybe an old fart Willa—— some things (and friendships) you never forget !

Beginning of Scotti-Craft .....
Thank You! ..... This picture fills in a huge blank, it (and the entry list) proves Cesare Scotti was still driving Molinari's as late as October of 1970. That pretty much confirms that 1971 was the first year for Scotti-Craft.
In addition, Steverino mentioned that he had heard Barry Woods had purchased a full year of Scotti's production. I tried to confirm that on BRF. The only response I received was from Ron Hill. He said that Barry co-drove a Scotti in the 1971 Paris race. Barry told Ron that after the race he went to Como and made the deal with Scotti. Ron thought it was for all of the boats produced in 1972.

Well Willa——— you were there in Como in the fall of 1970——- did you ever see Scotti any where near Torriggia? Plus, you knew he was a boat builder —— a cousin to Renato—- on the other side of the lake !
Where in the entry list does it say he was driving a Molinari?
I seem to remember you and GG joining Renato on the top balcony with a pair of bins every time Scottie came out testing, everyone who was anyone drove a Molinari——— why would you be even interested in just another Rude?
Scotti Built raceboats—— like Abbatte—- they weren’t popular, nor were they that successful until OMC started running them.
Anyway, I told you what I remember——- like it or lump it—— that’s all you’re going to get.

A few years ago I got some really sad pictures mailed to me from I think a French man.
The pictures show Cesare Scotti's crashed boat at the crash site and Cesare laying on the concrete seawall lifeless. There was also a steel fence there.
I still have the pictures but not sure what to do with them.
PS..I remember driving by the accident every lap 1974 looking at the crashed Scotti-Craft. At that time I did not know how bad it was.
I still remember exactly where at the narrow island it happened. Walked by there a few times years later.
