Super Clean is probably the best for cutting the grease, rinse well. You can dilute it about 100:1 and it's about the same as Simple Green. I like it @ 1:1 with water, It'll only take 1/2 of ths skin off of your fingers. Now if you want to burn the shop down, Pyro, has all the right stuff......Bruster's Mercury solid motor mounts, details here:

I always use Simple Green, I haven't found that Super Clean cuts much better or at all and the Castrol can and will chalk aluminum up...Learned that the hard way on my Mustang, and it will also eat the clear finish off of a lot of aluminum products such as automtoive wheels.. Too many side effects and not enough benefits over Simple Green which is completely harmless to aluminum, clear coat or any plastics...Just my opinion..

Brake cleaner is mostly Xylene and Acetone, it has a tendency to melt some types of paint.

I second that Magic Eraser recommendation. I've just started using them, but my dad owns a Fire restoration company, and he told me that 3M has offered that product to professionals for years. They just recently got into the consumer market.
These things will clean anything! I tried it out on the water stains on my mid-section, and the biggest problem is it makes things TOO clean! Once you start you have to keep going until everything is spotless!
Try it on a chrome faucet it the bathroom - it's unbelievable how well it cleans! (of course that domestic duty is delagated to my kids...)2000 STV Euroski - 1996 2.5 EFI

For the exhaust housing and gear case use "Gunk Engine Degreaser" from CTC. Spray it on (spray can), let it sit, hose it off with the hose. Dry with a clean cloth.
Magic Eraser is excellant on interior vinyl!Last edited by chris_lacey; 12-12-2005 at 01:10 PM.
