I bet you could get it up into the 80s with a decent setup. Well made? some are very well made.... others?

Mr Little, I have a 1985 22' Velocity with a pro max 300 on it . I run 80 mph at 6000 rpms using a 26" mercury chopper modified by DAH. The boat with a 300 runs best with a total of 12" of setback with the propshaft running 1 " below the bottom of the pad. I have seen a speed of 84 mph under perfect water conditions.( a 1 foot chop) .This boat is afun boat to drive over 70 mph.Frank

Outstanding boat, was raced extensively, handles rough water well, great running when you get it on the pad. the only negative is that they land hard due to the wide pad so it's best to feather the throttle when coming down and getting back into it as soon as the prop feels water!! You should see 80 mph.
