Don Adams Passed Away
He'll be missed. I always watched "Get Smart" when I was younger.

To this day, I still can't walk through one of those double automatic doors at the grocery store without doing the "Get Smart" theme song............
Now I have probably "stuck" some of ya'll with the same problem........

Classic!
Good 'ol Don Adams....a classic slapstick comedian. You just have to laugh when he pulls out the 'shoe-phone'.

I had a little red Sunbeam Tiger up until a couple years ago.
That show as well as many other influenced my thinking on what was cool to own.
I hear he kept that Tiger that was in the show in lieu of some royalties and that it had been wrecked a few times over the years as he and the family drove it.
Watch for it to show up on ebay in the near future I bet.

She was always HOT to me too.
I guess the band Toto thought so too...........they wrote a song about her.
VectorPat..........sorry.............at least I'm not alone anymore........now Scream and Fliers around the world will be doing the "Get Smart" theme song when they walk into the grocery store.
Sunbeam Tiger...I remember them too, there was one here in town when I was a kid.........had a V-8 too, didn't it?Last edited by WATERWINGS; 09-27-2005 at 08:57 AM.

Which Toto song is about her?
The Sunbeam had 260-289 Ford motors and was a Shelby effort.
Mine had a roller cam 302 and was basically a 322 horse powered 2000 pound rocket. Tire spin at 120+ MPH was common. Basically a beginers car

I think it was just called "99".
I heard them say in an interview that they had big crushes on her too, so they wrote the song.
Mine wouldn't spin at 120 MPH, but it was around 300 HP of turbocharged acceleration at 2300 lbsJOHN MASON

I think the Tiger was originally limited (from the factory) with the 260. Yours must have been a rocket.

INXS,
My gift from me to you..............and the rest of ya'll too.
I end up doing that tune through the rest of the store too, usually at least untill I get to the third or fourth isle.
I still haven't found an old stand up phone booth that will take me underground yet though.JOHN MASON
