What's your recipe? I have two spare ovens in the garage. I just shipped my block half way across the country to have a sleeve replaced. I would love to be able to do it myself. I am most curious to find out what you use to pull the sleeve. I can't believe you used your mom's oven, that's hilarious!!!

That's hard to believe
But I have seen it done and the motor runs well. Good friend that is a certified Merc mechanic took an old 2.5 with 1 bad hole (not to mention ventilation) and salvaged the sleeves. Took one out and it fit well in the other block. He pegs them below the ring contact area to prevent them from turning. When Earl Moorman was doing my blocks he also used an old oven and a freezer. I know some guys were locking the sleeves with Loctite instead of pegs. I have always been curious how round the holes stayed when reusing sleeves. New sleeves have to be bored I think or at least honed to size. Probably OK for a fishin motor but maybe not for something your gonna hotrod.
