I dunno bout the mounts, but you can modify pontiac mounts for a chev, so I don't see why you couldn't go the other way. Do you know off hand what tranny you have?

Chevy will work
But 400 would be great if you can still find one. A lot of the pontiacs and buicks used a dual pattern bellhousing on the trans that would bolt to either. As for mounts, several holes are in the cradle frame to place mounts for several engine combos...V6, Chev, pont. So basically, just about anything is possible if you want to, it just depends on how "drop right in" you want to get.

If you have a 4speed with od then you either have a 200-4R or a 700-R4. If you have a 3speed with a lock up converter its a TH350 with lock up converter. Hope this helps

Go for a ride, start from a stop and count the shifts. A lockup converter is a converter that locks and gives you a overdrive.

dad wont let me drive it since he found out it has no back brakes so once i get new shoes ill let ya know... i have been drivin the beast (88 toyota pickup 5spd) cause my priorities are screwd up { http://forums.screamandfly.com/forum...760#post735760 }
fix daily driver or break motor in lol...

329 9/10 a gallon... 375 on the water!
yea i just want to see if this thing is gonna stay together (firist rebuild)... or how long untill its not... if it will just blow up ill put it away for the winter! nah i wont, who am i kiddin ill put the 225 powerhead sittin on my back deck on it and burn 375 a gallon!
